I think that’s part of the complaint, they get tagged NSFW and suddenly all the advertisers pull out. It would have to be something more advertiser friendly for twitch to even bother.

It coincided with the launch of a $29 battery replacement program because the batteries dropped output as they aged - if you are looking for a conspiracy it’s not a great place to start.

The only thing Apple did wrong was not disclosing it. The update just throttled the CPU to lower the amp draw on aging batteries to stop the unexpected shutdowns. There was a good reason for it, but they *really* should have communicated it better.
