I’ve heard that you guys in the north have all sorts of standalone options, while in the US everything keeps getting more and more trim-level-ified.

I think it’s everyones annoyance that they’re bundled under trim levels. I can’t order the base model with better headlights. I have to order massaging cupholders and a scrotum warmer to get the better headlights. I don’t want those other things, I just want decent lights. 

I think part of it is, so many cars come with awful headlights that people do HID conversions in halogen housings and it blinds everyone. The other is, lots of people, even with factory LED or HID lights, drive around with the high beam shutter activated “for safety”.

There’s a dude with a car referred to as “the death fiero” with I believe a mitsubishi 4g63 - it’s absurd and wrong in all the right ways :D I believe matt farah did an episode on it.

I get you. I was straddling the fence between being ignorant, and potentially being rude. I felt like possibly apologizing for being rude was better than remaining ignorant :)

:shrug: in my experience, both  parents present, the kids always run to mom. Thats why I asked - more anthropological curiosity. 

It wasn’t intended to be rude, in retrospect I think I just articulated the question poorly in the interest of being brief.
