Obviously, but chinese IP theft does happen - that’s not disputable, but it doesn’t really seem news worthy.

Excluding engineers with ties to China would be such a minefield in the current climate though.
“this may be the only way a Magic Leap product ever makes it to market.”
 is anyone really that surprised about chinese IP theft anymore?
The spiteful side of me hopes that collections agencies DO waste $1.50 or so to collect 30 cents :P
Lol I got one for 30 cents, I kept waiting to see if it got sent to collections but it seems to have disappeared. They probably realized the stamp costs more.
You just have to ignore the first season of DS9 because he was so awkward. Great character. I can’t help but feel that DS9 got a much needed boost when Worf joined the series, until then the show was always kinda missing something. The creepy way he touches jakes face while his face is like a death mask is so…
Its literally just dirty water, I don’t understand it. I’ll stick with Brawndo, it’s got what plants crave.
I wonder how many “trekkies” were brought in by TNG vs the original series. That would be a neat poll, to see a breakdown of what series hooked people into the Star Trek universe - I have to guess that TNG would be a front runner. I cannot imagine another actor playing Picard and causing me to still go back and…
Yeah hospitals are common to spoof, if you answer they hit you with medical billing stuff. Happens to my parents; they get calls from a hospital near their house asking the for updated billing info. I always tell them to call the hospital back directly, but a lot of older people fall for it.
Valid reason - thanks for the measured response :)
As it stands now, they can charge us to block calls, essentially leveraging those robocalls to annoy us into paying. If it were mandatory with opt-out then I’d be fine. As long as carriers are not forced to comply they’re going to further nickel and dime us. It might not be bad for individuals, but for a business…
Sorry I was very brief with my reply - I would hope that the FCC would *force* carriers to do it instead of *allow* them. Flat out block anonymous, unsigned forwards.
Just disallow spoofing and the problem will sort itself.
Oh it is, but I still want to filter the traffic to that vlan.
Because of what I do for a living (uhhhh fight crime and have batnipples on my suit?) I tend to stay away from firewall/wireless combined devices, so I don’t have any recent experience. If it can do gigabit throughput with full IPS enabled then I’d call it a good thing though :) - I’ll do some googling to see if I can…
At this point in time, it’s not a bad idea for everyone to start using IPS/IDS enabled firewalls/routers at home. It can be pricey to start up, but something like Untangle ($50/year if you have the hardware) filters out malware and many viruses in real time. It’s pretty effective, and they offer prebuilt appliances if…
I asked to avoid making an assumption, so you can step back off your soapbox.
Sidebar - I was just thinking about it - how *awful* would the job of actually reviewing that stuff be? I’d imagine the burnout would be insane.
But that’s not all they have to parse - they have to handle everyone reporting things they simply disagree with. Nobody can handle differing perspectives any more, so boom - video I don’t like is reported. And the next one. And the next one. Meanwhile, someone with a different perspective is doing the exact same…
