I just hope developers don’t go all-in with epic, then later after there’s a sufficient “hook” into the devs, epic starts changing t&c’s making the benefit to the devs essentially moot.

For some games, anything that requires a non steam login is obnoxious. I don’t mind occasionally grabbing a keyboard and doing a secondary login, but it ruins the console-like experience when my wife just wants to swim around in subnautica or play geometry wars or something.

I don’t have a problem with the epic store existing, I just won’t bother using it. I’ve been a steam user since the first week of the steam beta - with ~1k games in my Steam account I would say I’m fairly rooted there. I’ve gotten rid of physical media of old games and repurchased them through steam because, for my

Yeah, wish list is awesome. My friends and I are always gifting each other games from one another’s wish lists. Also, randomly gifting people “genital jousting” is a thing :P

The app store “walled garden” is such a double-edged sword - the apps are generally high quality, but Apple’s caving to the SAAS shift in the industry and they’re too well positioned to completely monopolize app sales on Mac OS. :sigh: I’d love to hear the conversations between Adobe and Apple on that one :P Adobe’s

Am I the only one that doesn’t care about Epic games’ store? It might be nice if it forces Valve to be a little nicer to developers, but if a game comes out as an Epic exclusive I won’t bother. My wife and I heavily use a Steam Link at home, so Steam is always going to win for us. (yes I know you can add other games,

Let’s just acknowledge that Apple’s “ideal state” is for all Mac OS as well as IOS applications to be available only through the App Store. If it weren’t for public outcry it already would’ve happened with MacOS. On the education end of things we get pushed a *lot* to migrate away from non-apple applications to

Every year on Chuck Norris’ birthday we fire them into the sun.

Just ghost any posts with the word vaccine in them then, why is that hard. Let the person that posted it post it, let them see their post, but hide it from literally everyone else. Problem solved. I fixed facebook.

Tiger balm. Rub it on your scrotum and your muscle pain will be less noticeable.

lots of them say they did so, not realizing you can check their uptime (computers) - it’s ridiculous

Need a stair car for carstairs

Gary Sinise WAS Stu Redman. So good. Also I think he did the voice for the audiobook too.

Have you tried just routing everything through google voice? It does a pretty good job of filtering them out. That being said, family members that still use land lines now rarely answer the phone. My dad reported that he has received 7+ calls from “microsoft troubleshooting about a virus” this week. And it’s only

the value of version-to-version consistency is hugely understated

I’m not trying to make it one platform vs. the other - both have processes that crash, IOS just tends to handle it more gracefully. On Android you get “xxx process unexpectedly stopped responding”, on IOS the app crashes, kills the process, and relaunches. One stops the user cold, the other is a momentary annoyance.

I know, unpopular opinion, but I kinda liked the newest iteration of windows phone? I wouldn’t say I’d *choose* it, but it was a lot better than I expected. Might’ve been the OLED screen that I liked tbh, but it felt nice to use when checking out the tens of apps on the Windows store.

Yeah - it’s mostly stuff where I shrug and think “eh I guess? if my battery life drops maybe?”

That might’ve come across more rude than intended - simply, I think our compiled stats are of sufficient volume with trends identified clearly enough to affect corporate purchasing. I don’t really care which device gets deployed - I just prefer what doesn’t generate complaints or support requests or even require

I don’t really think I need to explain, my sample size was just a lot bigger than yours.
