The expression. Priceless!
The expression. Priceless!
It is. And thank you.
I eat low carb, because diabetes, but Paleo is somewhat similar as far as food choices. I am 5 years in, and 60 pounds lighter, but honestly, I could inhale a party-size bag of M&M’s most days. Ok, this might explain diabetes, but I am proud of myself for resisting. Sugar is truly an addiction for me.
I get my Gawker through Feedly, which is just an RSS feed. (Yeah. Old here.). I can tell the font has changed slightly, but everything else looks the same for me. I feel for you though.
It took me a lot of years, a radio show, and an honest convo with hubs for it to all start to come together. I’m trying. It’s just hard to change.
Hypocrite In A Poofy White Dress is one of my favorites, depending on your age. I related to her generation (‘60’s/’70’s). I also love Babara Kingsolver’s Poisonwood Bible.
We don’t really chose who we are attracted to. I have never met anyone and thought, “I think I’ll fall in love.” Just not how it works. If it did, I might have made better choices....
Yeah. Maybe I didn’t finish my thought. I need to stop over analyzing. I tend to dwell on things way too long. Just let it be. Not every interaction is nuanced. Face value is good, sometimes. Probably more times than not.
After I married, I heard an interesting story (NPR) about a guy who runs workshops for women about meeting men. One of the women asked the question, “If a man approaches me in a public setting, and strikes up a conversation, how do I know he is interested in me.” He gave an answer. So, I posed the same question to…
Also raised Southern Baptist. From what I remember, 12 is the “age of reason”, and after that, you are responsible for your own sin. Something to do with Jesus casting money handlers out of the temple at this age? Or maybe I have my bible stories mixed up.
All the feels for poor kitty. Made me tear up a little.
If you need a good laugh, check out “my kid can’t eat this” on Instagram. Hilarious.
I still laugh every time I think about it, and it was roughly 20 years ago.
True story, somewhat related. Years ago, a friend of mine visited her gyno. Gave a urine sample. There was no toilet paper, so she got a tissue out of her purse. During her exam, doc asked her if she wanted/ would like to have the postage stamp he found “down there”. Apparently, it had been stuck to the tissue. She…
I immediately quit reading the story and scrolled straight to the comments. I am never disappointed with the comments. 😂
I agree with you. I also think that giving a shit at 14 may have played a role. When I was that age, I never gave it a thought. I was closer to 24 before I realized that I might actually get old one day, and even closer to 34 before I really believed it. I am not an outside person, and I have good genes, thank…
Is anybody watching Astronaut Wive’s Club besides me? I am loving this show. I am boo-hooing by the time it is over every time. I highly recommend it.
Stepmom and Steel Magnolias. But, I cry over a lot of movies, TV shows, and even some commercials. I don’t cry a lot in “real life” situations. What does this say about me? Ok, now I have some research to do....
