Install beds and rename them fuckwagons. Problem solved.

Do the brakes and roll bar and get that MR2 to the track. Even on crappy all-season tires and stock suspension, track time is track time. I spent years and years getting cars ready for the track and almost no time AT the track.

@DarkGemini: I hope you mean "I miss being a teenager" rather than "I miss the collection of teenagers I used to keep in my basement"

@Terry: except they provide 4-wheel engine braking, which is nice.

@brandegee: Yah. If it were a wee bit more airbaggy, I'd be on this thing in a heartbeat. Problem with older minivans is that if you need one, you probably have kids and are thus at least a little bit safety conscious.

Winter makes it easier to spot auto enthusiasts. It amazes me, here in SE Michigan where the roads have snow or ice on them at least half the winter, that *maybe* 2% of cars have snow tires on. They're all either car nuts or the relatives of car nuts.

@zekestone: A RWD car with 50/50 balance will outperform any FWD car without them. We all gotta stop.

@mercury_marine: You can't drive an E28 on snow without snow tires. I've tried and it's really not pretty. Nor is the car after you've wrapped it around a tree.

@Lomig: Dude, bikes have had a bad name since FOREVER. He's merely continuing a long tradition of stupidity.

I know several Prius drivers, and none of them are annoying hippies. They bought Priuses because they don't give two craps about what they drive and want something reliable that gets good mileage, can be resold, and has an image that says "hey, I'm a conformist". In short: typical Toyota drivers.

I'd pay $7K for a non-running clean shell to use as driveway art. I love how these little things look. An extra $2K to get one that I could drive? NICE PRICE.

The only excuse is that she didn't have covered parking at her place.

@JonZeke: There's one or two parked outside my office every day. I can juuuust see it from my boss's window. Hopefully it won't be picking me up from my in-laws this weekend.

@Steve_in_NC: Detroit coming back to anything close to what it once was is without precedent in America. Hopefully the plans to consolidate services in a few small neighborhoods and let the rest return to nature work out, 'cause it's the only way the city will ever prosper again.

ACS Type-1's? I'd be a little kinder to those things.

A RWD car with snow tires is better than any AWD vehicle on all-seasons. Physics, y'know? Those of us with snow tires in the North spend a lot of time muttering to ourselves while stuck in traffic behind people driving 2 mph on all-seasons.

A tri-toned (ie, two-toned but not quite right on one side) '80 924 I got for $900. Having to answer "Porsche" when someone asked what I drove was weird, 'cause it sure underwhelmed upon close observation and acceleration.
