Except that isn’t what they did. Facebook developed a tool to get the guys IP, and provided the tool to the FBI. It isn’t the FBI’s or Facebook’s responsibility to patch Tail’s software, and there is no legal requirement of notifying them of a vulnerability.

I don’t really have a problem with it, Buster was already wanted by the FBI, and was using Facebook’s service to harass girls. Naturally Facebook wanted to see Buster pay as he was harming their users. So helping the FBI track him down was a win-win situation for them.

In that case you are taking a situation where the DA is either not going to charge you, give you a slap on the wrist, or you are simply let go by the police without charges later and turned it into a felony.

Not only that, but flex cuffs aren’t zip ties. Most are designed specifically to prevent this type of attack.

In many states owning a handcuff key may not be illegal, but possessing it after you’ve been detained is. In the state of Florida it is actually a felony (which is ridiculous but it is what it is).

That isn’t a flashbang, it is a rubber ball grenade. The proper procedure is to back away and call the police.
