I recently dumped my Canon setup in favor of an E-M5 rig and can't say enough good stuff about it. My full kit is *half* the weight of what I used to carry with the Canon and every bit as capable (more capable, really, since my two bodies were 1 and 2 generations old).

Would I? No. But my wife and I still get by on 3 cars with a combined value of $15K in spite of the fact that we earn enough to buy a couple new bimmers. You're way past 'rational' choice mode any time you buy anything that depreciates as fast as a new car.

Not on my Mac.

Automatic transmission only, and not a particularly great one at that.

The very-very-cold start problem has more to do with the fact that all your engine components are made of different materials and have different thermal expansion coefficients. Oiling isn't really the big issue, assuming you're using more-or-less the right oil for your climate. Any old synthetic 5w30 will flow just

"Who cares if food tastes good? It's nourishment, not something for enjoyment."

It actually isn't cramped. Like Doctor Who's TARDIS, it's interior dimensions are larger than its external dimensions.

Do you see the photo? Do you think that big air cooled flat-12 came out of a Chinese tractor? Oh, I've got it! Those velocity stacks are just a cosmetic cover over a Subaru flat-4!

If you're that paranoid, you're going to LOVE /var/log on any unix system...

I agree with this. I've got an iPad3, iPad2 and have had all the iPhones. I love my N7, though.

If you want to talk about the 2nd Amendment, you need to remember it's there specifically to provide for a well armed militia capable of going up against an actual army in a meaningful way. If you want to ban #2, you should dispense with the 2nd Amendment.

My RAW file collection is about 60,000 and goes back to 2003. JPEGs off of phones and P&S's are probably another 10-20K. They all live in a year/month hierarchy and are backed up to crashplan and drives located in my office and my wife's office and my parent's house. iPhoto has only recently gotten to the point

I'm a little surprised by Waze's absence as well. Free+Good = Amazing.

I've jumped from the mid-range (XXD) Canon stuff I've used since 2003 over to the OM-D and love it. On top of the usability improvements over an SLR (easy manual focus w/ legacy glass, WYSIWYG viewfinder, wicked fast autofocus, live data overlays in the viewfinder, live bulb mode, etc) the size is just unbeatable.

#10 is the most important not just to keep from sounding stupid, but also so the email is pleasant to read. There are times when you're stuck sending a long email to Very Important People or a truly huge number of people. There can be no misunderstandings in these situations. The last thing you want is to send out

It's the difference between a notebook and a scrapbook.

Oh man, I hadn't realized this. Deleted it and the annoyingly laggy interface improved tenfold. You just saved my Nexus!
