I've used a google spreadsheet to log exercise, calories and weight for 3 years. 25lbs lost and holding...

I have a preference, of course, but I'll take whichever you guys don't want.

HP-48G 4 LIFE.

I report that my house has been burglarized. The police come. Rather than merely poking around looking for fingerprints, they examine every object in the house and catalog it in a gigantic database. Then they keep the database forever.

Say what now? Aluminum is much more scratch resistent than polycarbonate. 6061 is a rockwell B60 vs M70 for polycarb. My several year old aluminum laptop looks a hell of a lot better than my equally old plastic macbook. And my polycarbonate 3GS was MUCH more scuffed than my iPhone 5.

In a parking lot? Sure. On the side of a road? Never. That's an excellent way to get killed by a drunk or inattentive driver. AAA or my insurance's free roadside service FTW.

In the grand scheme of things, all else being equal (ie, thickness and/or mass) copper beats aluminum beats steel beats stainless steel beats cast iron. Copper is nice, but thick aluminum clad in stainless is almost always the best bang-for-the-buck in general-purpose cookware.

Meat doesn't work that way. Moisture is released as cell walls break down, but it isn't mobile within the chunk of meat. The bird will cook fine regardless of orientation assuming you have even heat all over. You can't squander moisture by cutting into the meat, but you can't do anything magical to seal in juice.

Loyal Apple user here. Totally agreed. Apple is in Very Deep Shit if it doesn't get this ironed out soon.

True, although in the real world you can't tell the difference at all. Hell, I've been thrilled with the image quality coming out of my DSLRs since about 2002. If I put 8x10's next to each other, shot under all but the most extreme low-light conditions, from any of the bodies I've had (300D, 20D, 5D, 40D, OM-D) I

For one thing, waking root access widely available means that developers would take more advantage of it. We're all better off if they don't go mucking about with the operating system unless absolutely necessary. You're trading flexibility for security and reliability. In all my time using iOS devices, (5 iphones

"Keyboard Manager" lets you set different keyboards in portrait and landscape. Especially on my N7, I really like swype in portrait and thumb keyboard in landscape. Needs root access.

Yes, but of course all this safety stuff actually *works* and fatalities continue to go down.

Yes. I know one person who had a stand break (craftsman, FWIW) and another that had a steel ramp collapse (HF). Neither was under the car at the time, thank gods.

No the question is "why wouldn't you take the two minutes out of your purchase process to tell her?" What would motivate you to *not* tell her? Every conceivable answer I can imagine boils down to BECAUSE FUCK YOU WIFE.

Does video count?

I've got two laptops, a Nexus 7 and an iPad 3. I use the N7 or the iPad 2-3 hours a day. The last time I booted the Mac laptop up was a couple months ago. My Dell laptop gets used for a few XP-only tasks, but hasn't ever left its docking station so it might as well be a desktop.

You think the world's richest company, with a long history of shipping gazillions of delicate pieces of glass to the most hyper-anal customers in the world hasn't engineered the ever loving hell out of the boxes it sends its products out in? They're well aware this is how packages get treated.

And the best part is, there's an inverse relationship between patient satisfaction and health outcomes!

I'm guessing the author is not a parent, and I don't think it has anything to do with gender. I call my boys beautiful all the time. Lots of parents of boys do. This is what parents say about their children.
