Okay, more than a little jealous there. We have 93 All over on this side of the country (particularly in the freer states), but it’s generally between $0.60 and $0.75/gal more than regular 87 Octane. Honest to God, it’s cheaper for me to burn an extra ~20% more fuel running on e85 (which is generally about $0.50/gal

Alternately, as long as your engine “Requires” premium gas, that’s what you test on. That you should have sufficiently advanced knock detection to prevent ma and pa kettle from blowing up their engine with cheap gas (the only kind that will ever make it into their tank) is just a bit of customer protection.

Sans kiss, have a buddy who also taps the sun visor when he makes it through a yellow. I had no idea that this was a common thing.

Beat me to my own edit. I need to implement a 2 coffee minimum before posting stuff on here with math in it.

Joking aside, I played that game. ...did the math later on a 15year fix’d, and with the difference in interest rate (was about 1/2 (?!) the APR at the time), it would have been about $100/month more to halve the loan term.

Edit: I is a idiot. Forgot to check my Sig figs... You were bang on with your numbers. Still, there’s some serious leverage involved with this one. Damnit.

Was lucky enough to get to drive one of these in anger, and I have to say - I’d take one over anything short of an M/AMG/-V car. Was very pleasantly surprised how well the thing was set up from the factory, and it’s probably about a non-staggered set of wheels/tires away from being a proper weapon in the twisties.

Hey, their new-years isn’t on Jan 01, either.

Thanks for the info on the oversight committees. I did not know that this was an ongoing thing. Again, my preference would be that neither country play these sorts of games, but it seems that we can’t get away from what feels like some massively over-complicated derivation of the prisoner’s dilemma.

While I wouldn’t say that the big multinationals are necessarily victims in this arrangement - jumping bellend first into a hornets nest because it’ll stimulate growth in the near term is an apt analogy for what’s happened - you’ve most certainly got the gist of it.

I have to wonder if the discrepancy between the high per-corner rated power, the low weight, and the tepid 0-60 time has to do with the battery pack. Much like with Tesla’s cars, the limiting factor is likely not the electric motors ability to accept current, but the battery back’s limited ability to supply it.

He is the CEO of FCA, the F part is essentially non-existent in this country...

While I agree with your assessment of the majority of the symptoms, I fear that you’re letting the root cause of the issue drive further implementation of the root cause. I.E. Because companies cry to the government, and get government aid, whenever they run into trouble, we should have further government interference

Not to speak for Deserthorse, but the argument he’s making is that the type of electric vehicle that the majority of the market would want to buy is not yet at economic parity with alternate options.

I’m going to assume the implication here is that with sufficient application of cocaine, the death will precede the “found behind the bus station giving handjobs” as implied by your sentence structure.

Not going to argue with you, but it seems like an extremely valid question in this particular instance. I’d personally argue LT, but that’s just me.

LOL, was more discussing how the firearms Coexist stickers came about in the first place. I started my post before this whole thread went down the religious road. My personal take on any of the stickers mentioned above? None, thanks. I can’t stand having any sort of stickers on any of my cars. Shoot, I partially

Preach it! I’m a Catholic, but usually wind up hanging out with the Lutherans around where I live. They tend to know how to have a better time. All parties tend to keep the teasing in good fun if/when it ever comes up. I know for a fact that conversations with atheists about faith tend to be a lot of fun when neither

While that’s super helpful and all, I think you’re talking about the wrong kind of bank.
