Australia is actually one of the most regulated countries I’ve been to. There are super-strict safety laws about almost everything, strict fines, and the insurance industry makes a killing.

Have you been to Australia? It’s dry and flat, with very few fast moving water source except for the rip-tides in the ocean. People imagine that Australia is super fun, exciting, and the home of adventure. They’re mistaken. Try New Zealand instead.

Fact - this was built on the tallest hill in Australia and runs into the largest lake. Australia is both incredibly flat and incredibly dry. I live there and consider it quite probably the most boring country in the world.

So the trailer basically gives away the entire story? FFS, seriously folks?!?! I read the book and loved it, the film looks great, but this trailer seriously spoils basically the entire thing.

Yup. I loved Wool, and was excited about the Silo series, so I quickly bought First Shift and read it. It was so incredibly bad, and destroyed so much of the magic of the original series, that I threw it away in disgust and tell others not to read it because it will spoil the whole series for them.
