This ‘drama’ is being reported almost exclusively by papers owned by Rupert Murdoch, who wants the BBC gone as fast as possible so he can dominate the British media landscape, and British politics, even more than he does already.

Plus of course, there is the small matter of its owner, Mr Rupert Murdoch, not being ENTIRELY averse to encouraging his minions to make shit up about the BBC whenever and wherever they can.
The fact that this report comes from the Sun detracts from its credibility, IMO. The Sun has been Murdoch’s main weapon of choice when it comes to bashing the BBC, for quite some time.
Does that come down to ‘a stitch in time, saves nine?’ Ie preventing problems is better than fixing problems?
‘having them kindly explained without being called an idiot in the process was helpful.’
That’s something that I think so many people don’t get (I’ve certainly been guilty of that some times)- calling someone an idiot for being wrong or for holding a different view to you isn’t going to make them change their mind.

H is the 8th letter of the alphabet. 88=HH. Some Neo-Nazis use it as a sort of code to hide in plain sight. Like this charming lady: http://usuncut.com/politics/neo-n…
Sounds like your upbringing encouraged you to research things in ways hers didn’t. The article is about someone who didn’t have that advantage (which, respectfully, maybe you haven’t quite understood was an advantage for you) finding their way. Not worth criticising, surely?
So...it was ‘drilled into you’ to do research, and you did, thereby accepting the values of the people that raised you as the right way to do things? But she wasn’t, and took a little longer to start doing that herself?
Respectfully, I think your criticism of her might be a little lacking in self-awareness. I don’t…
So this went; terrible rape apologist story is submitted, woman on the staff points out problems, woman is talked over and her opinion dismissed, story is published, inevitable shitstorm of outrage ensues. Sounds like a scene cut from a Ron Burgundy film because it was too predictable.
is ANYTHING necessary? After all, in a billion years, we will all be dust.
OH GOD, JUST DUST!
This actually sounds like the system working fairly well, to be honest. Some patrolling of copyright is inevitable, and to be honest necessary if we want tv shows to be funded. No process or procedure works without anomalies, and it sounds like the issue was resolved relatively quickly.
My question, which maybe I…
That is a brutal list. I wonder how many GM firings are directly connected to those names?
Yeah, it’s like they’ve gone ‘well, where can we start?’ The pricks.
Just wait till they ‘Hugo’ the next event by signing 45 year-old men to every spot in every race. That’ll show those children up as the hypocrites they are! Somehow!
I sort of want to feel excited about this, but I know I’m going to be disappointed. This is because I want the major twist to be that there is a ‘teleport pilot home when plane explodes’ function in the alien ships, which was unknowingly built into the human version.
This would then lead to a human pilot being beamed…
Harsh but fair.
Yeah, I think you’re right there. The way I look at it, if RG3 is anything like the player the whole league thinks he is, (ie a talented but undisciplined athlete robbed of what made him special by injury), then the Browns’ best case scenario over the next few years is ‘poor man’s Texans.’
I am pretty concerned about how much the Eagles gave up, though admittedly it’s only one less pick per year for... well, ages. If whichever QB they pick is good then he’s going to have a few less supporting pieces, so I don’t know if that’s going to work.
The other side of this is that the Browns seem to genuinely…
Ricky Williams actually had an ok career. Sure, that snap retirement decision was kind of a flakey thing to do, but if you look at his career stats there’s a lot of pro players who would be very happy to rack up that number of years, and that number of yards.
Fuck yes this. It’s almost as if autism is seen as an inconvenience that is a tiring pain in the ass to deal with day-to-day, whereas a death can be nobly born in a grand tragic moment.
