The current platform rides on a design from the Daimler Chrysler era that also underpinned the outgoing M-Class. The idea that it’s an old AMC platform is nonsense unless you’re willing to say all platforms are continuations from prior platforms because they use knowledge gained from said prior platforms.

Well the test results show the Tesla as being best, it’s more that whoever is interpreting it has been smoking a little too much crack.
But results don’t show the Polestar as being the best. It finished 2nd and 4th when comparing actual range to stated range.
Except they showed that the Audi did much better than their cars. A full 10-12% better. Now the information may be a pretty useless metric, but it is the results they found.

My Porsches [356, 911 3.2, 993, 996 and 968] were all very reliable for me. Enough of them across different generations that I can’t say it was a fluke. Sure, parts are expensive, and preventative maintenance can be a bit more pricey as such but reliability was never a concern.
Porsches are actually pretty reliable, it’s just that if anything does break it’ll annihilate your wallet and maintenance isn’t much better. I mean Porsche is the same company that kept beating Toyota at LeMans because their cars were actually more reliable on the track.
