Yes, you will! I feel like it’s sometimes an exercise in exclusion (like diagnosing a tricky disease) and one day you just drive a car for a little while and realize that you aren’t constantly thinking about what your next car is going to be; then, that’s the one!
My 996 is my perfect car right now! It’s a no-BS machine. It’s an early 996.1 so no traction control, glove box, cup holders, etc.; just a 300HP flat six with RWD, a stick, and an engine out back. The back seats fold into a shelf that can fit a couple sets of golf clubs, it’s comfortable enough to drive all day but…
I had a Mk7 with a mild tune. It was a great car. I just couldn’t get over not having RWD though. I grew up driving nothing but RWD or AWD/4WD and even with the performance pack, punching the GTI from a stop always reminded me I was in a FWD car, and I just hated it.
You’re right about the bulk. The first gen 996 is actually lighter (and more powerful) than the 993. It’s a fantastic driving experience all-around. Comfortable enough for road trips but hard enough to have plenty of fun. It’s the one car that will never, ever leave my garage; I’d rather pay for a new engine for this…
I fucking love my turbo twists though!
Mazda Santa Monica is one of the most horrific dealers I’ve ever dealt with. Will never buy a Mazda again because of my experience there. They act like they’re doing you a favor by selling you a car. It’s a fucking Mazda, I got it because it was cheap as fuck and still decent to drive, not because it’s god’s gift to…
If you go and sit in one you’ll probably change your mind. Pictures only show so much. It’s a great place to sit.
Damn, Teslas really are quiet!
Chicken wings are universal. Don’t you dare touch my fucking wings.
The 991.2 is a great turbo engine, but it still is lacking a little bit of that magic when you rev every last drop of power out of a good NA 911. Ultimately the market will tell them if this is a good idea or not though. I did have a lot of fun at the track in a 991.2 C2S at their experience center in LA, so I know…
I was around 7 or 8 years old when I really started noticing different types of cars, and this was right around when the 996.1 Carrera came out. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them since, and became a huge fan of all things Porsche. Also fell in love with older BMWs as a child because my dad drove a…
I fucking love my NH-D15. It’s a sexy beast.
It is certainly not the only porsche but a 911 is a 911 and there’s nothing else quite like it. If you like a Cayman better that’s great, but if you really want a 911 a cayman isn’t going to quite do it for you. it will be awesome but you’d probably still want a 911.
the 4th and 5th movies were fucking fantastic. If you didn’t see them that’s your loss. People (obviously) still enjoy them and they’ve done a great job over the last couple of keeping them incredibly entertaining. I’d suggest watching MI:4 at least once to give it a chance, unless you just want to continue your…
996.1 is best 996
I mean this is just like a 911 I guess which is kinda annoying because Astons are more “GT/Luxury” cars than a 911 is supposed to be (though the 991 is very much a GT car).
Red brake calipers are $1600
This douche is trying to ruin her career though. Going public might be the only way she can get that to stop. Have you considered that?
This is likely just a case of an agent not being aware of the market rate for their gig. No agent in their right mind is going to purposefully try to get a woman less than a man, their cut of the deal depends on it being as big as possible. At a larger agency, their bonus depends on the revenues they bring in. No…
