The only time I don’t wish for people to become self-aware and develop critical thinking skills is when I hear stories like these. Hateful, ignorant dummies who are destined to fall victim to themselves

A friend worked at a record store (this is an old anecdote) when the whole Dixie Chicks outrage was fabricated. They sold out of their inventory, restocked and sold out again. Full price sales to idiots that admitted they were going to watch them get run over by a bulldozer at the local radio station.

Ah, yes. The classic conservative boycott: purchase the thing from the companies or people you're boycotting, then destroy the thing you paid for. That'll show em!

Yes, I realized that pretty much right after I posted. Mea culpa.

I feel like people are missing the point of this story.

What if I told you that I agree with you? What if I told you that was what my first comment was about the whole time?

Someone didn’t read the last half of that sentence.

Oh.

What’s really interesting is that, from the context, this is clearly a story that Miller told to others, thinking it somehow showed him in a good light (victim? man of principle? I dunno...).

I’m starting to wonder is Stephen Miller might be a thin-skinned snowflake weenie and not a brawny stoic BDE alpha male - is that possible? Has the evidence been there all along, and we just couldn’t see it?

Of all the foods I would be worried about someone tinkering with, sushi would be at the top of my list. He was smart to ditch it.

“We would prefer to continue keeping the racism and misogyny on the inside; using slurs like that in public is insufficiently civil.

This is not the laugh I wanted, but it is the laugh I needed.

He wasn’t overheard mumbling this shit from a bar stool. He published this bullshit. With his fucking name attached.

Incoming San Bernardino district attorney Jason Anderson, who defeated Ramos last month, told the Sun that the posts were “a little bit salty,” and that they weren’t “a reflection of the image I would like to portray of the D.A.’s office.”

This warm take session is heating up, and I say: Trump doesn’t have a policy, he has a vendetta. And yet people are rushing to defend it without really thinking about what they’re doing. It’s fucking sad how tribalism has so fucked over our country. And before you say “but you guuuuuuyys” fuck off. It always takes at

You say that like people shouldn’t listen and consider the ideas of others.

Oh look. Another Civility Scold. And it’s a Democrat. This is my shocked face (fryshocked.gif ...too lazy to -actually- embed it)

During the Vietnam War, millions of Americans demanded an end to the war; no one seriously demanded that we abolish the entire Defense Department. Obviously, that would have completely compromised national security.
