“Why doesn’t she just leave?”

It is especially shitty to bring up Jen Kirkman again after she specifically said she doesn’t want to be involved. She was endlessly harassed after the first article Jez wrote about her comments. Jen has never said who she was talking about, Jez decided it was Louis.

But her relationship with her husband and her friendship with Chris Evans were the examples she used. So like

Yeah, Idk. She mentioned her husband on Anna Faris’ podcast, which she did with Chris. She talked about how you can make male/female friendships work while you’re in a relationship. This bums me out in light of how that podcast was like, “It’s possible to be in a healthy hetero relationship and still have opposite sex

But would you ever be able to enjoy a Marvel movie again?

This bums me out. They were listing themselves as an example of how hetero platonic friendships can work! Blergh.

The bed dance from this movie helped me understand myself as a sexual being.

And that’s why I think we shouldn’t condemn people for hedging statements in this way. I try not to do it, but it’s also true that women (ETA and people of other less-power groups) are socialized and expected to use “I feel” and “I think” and “maybe.” If we don’t, we are criticized as “too aggressive.”

I was mostly with her until, “We are all Becky with the good hair. Every last one of us.” Um no. Not all of us sleep with married men. I’m not even saying you’re a bad person if you do, I’m just pointing out how inaccurate the statement is.

I use Maybelline Dream Matte mousse, shade 001 Light. Apply with wedge sponges. $10.

YOU THINK MEN ARE RAPISTS? NOT ALL MEN!!!!!!

THANK YOU. My first thought.

Mr. Slayer and I were joking about this just last week... :( It really did seem as if he would outlive us all.

Same. I always assume everyone else is in NY unless/until otherwise stated.

I’m confused as to your point. Are you expecting unbiased reporting in the Jez comment section?

My grandparents are from the Ozarks, and they do say Missour-uh. But they also say Haway-uh, even after living there a year.

Cosigned.

I knew there was a higher rate of DV victimhood, wasn’t sure about SV. According to this fact sheet, it’s both.

Yes, I have since realized. Thanks
