That's because these are the people that view their children as their property.

How is this shit legal? You can't ARREST someone for using their cell phone. Using the cell phone is against a school rule, not the law. Police officers are supposed to enforce the law. When did we make violating school policy a criminal act?

I understand that. However, one is done with the intent to harm another person. The other is not.

Do you really not understand the difference between dealing with the consequences of a loved one doing drugs vs. that person straight-up punching you in the face?

Was his career destroyed by outside forces? Or did he get fired because he committed a violent crime against another human being and it was embarrassing for his employers?

Heroin abusers aren't violently hurting other people.

He committed a violent crime. Many people are fired from their jobs after committing violent crimes. That's not unusual.
