This describes my entire relationship with my high school boyfriend.

I don't know, I think it's more just that the most vocal of any group tend to be the most extreme, and those extremists make the entire group seem wacky. That's true of pretty much any religion. Most people aren't extremists, so they don't feel the need to talk about it all the time.

There aren't very many atheists who are really vocal about it, and people tend to assume that others are like them unless otherwise specified. And the atheists who ARE vocal about it are more likely to be the evangelical atheists who talk about how theists are dumber than they are and want to convert people to

So if being gay is like being an alcoholic... Does that mean that it's okay to have gay sex every once in awhile, like it's okay to have a drink now or then, just as long as you're not doing it all the time?

I don't know about every state, but in my state, if you leave a child under the age of 8 in a car for any amount of time the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline will take a report and the county office will follow up with either an investigation or an assessment, depending on the age of the child. You can agree or

If I saw a child left in a car by themselves, I would call the police. As a bystander, it is not my responsibility to consider how long the child has been there, what the temperature is, how long she'll be gone, etc. It is my responsibility to protect a vulnerable 4yo child.

I agree. I also wonder if the panel was Wilmore's idea? Most people in the comments seem to believe Comedy Central is forcing the format on him, but he seems like the type of person who would want to do a panel. /shrug

Thanks! His full name is Sir Pawl McCatney.

My Pawl baby looks like that Rufus baby. He is also a fan of boxes.

Eddie Cibrian is the epitome of generic white man. I kept trying to recognize him as being the same human throughout the clips/photos in that video, and I can't do it. Would not be able to pick him out of a lineup.

I have actually never seen a wedding invite that did NOT spell out the date. And I have been to weddings where people wore jeans.

This. I get really sick of having to say this over and over every time a campus rape story comes up.

It is usually the victim's choice. Some may not feel comfortable going to the police and pressing criminal charges but still want to get their attacker kicked out of school so they don't have to see them every day. They could pursue criminal and school action if they chose to.

Less calling the police, more shooting and killing and murdering them.

But the judge shouldn't have discretion when it comes to rape. Otherwise, stuff like this happens. "Oh, it wasn't PUNCH HER IN THE FACE rape. She acted older than 14."

I'm all for minimum sentences for violent crimes like assault, rape, and murder. Drug offenses and other non-violent crimes are different.

Because of course it was. Sigh.

No, my chiropractor was great. I got sick in the time period while I was seeing him and he asked me questions about my pneumonia treatment (from my regular doctor) and adjusted accordingly. He did not believe he could cure my pneumonia.

Yeah, no. I went to a chiropractor for lower back and hip pain that was preventing me from getting adequate sleep.

Respect. I plan to have a medicated birth (far in the distant future) and I can't stand the judgy judgment of how "natural" is by virtue of being natural. I understand the pros and cons of both and feel that it is MY decision to make.
