Good job. I was going to weigh in but you did a better job than I could have.

“My body count? Soon to be 1, after I kill you for being such a douchebag.”
I feel that Madonna is having a hard time with the marginalization that comes with aging for women.
Woman here as well. I lived in the Netherlands - it’s legal, sure, it’s also filled with women who were coerced and trafficked and kidnapped into being prosititutes, mostly immigrants. And even for the local Dutch prostitutes who may just be putting themselves through school, it’s generally not something they list on…
Super unpopular opinion- I really don’t like legalizing prostitution because of the commodification of (mostly) female bodies. I think if it was a small scale with women having total control over being paid for what they decide on, it would be different. But, it’s not. For the most part, when prostitution is legal,…
Couldn’t it be that more women are hesitant to endorse a practice - legality aside - where they are especially vulnerable to the violence of human males?
The point is that often the women AREN’T consenting and I really doubt any man stops to find out or even care. And the wives of the johns aren’t consenting either — to either secret betrayal or sexually transmitted diseases that they’d never think to check for to treat.
Shocking! Women less likely to support something that would hurt mostly women!
Dana. Such a hypocrital asshole.
During every season of TUF, he goes on his usual testosterone fueled diatribe about how real fighters are here to fight anyone at anytime no matter what. Other champs or top contenders have passed up certain fights where they had much more to lose than gain and Dana took to every outlet…
It’s troubling when a sport’s commissioner doesn’t bother to hide the fact that he’s more concerned with marketing and and which fights will bring in the most dollars than, ensuring that the top contenders get title fights. Sport is supposed to a meritocracy — you don’t get to set up the matchups that you want, teams…
she might’ve missed the payday, but she’s still top-5, people know her name and is fully capable of working her way back to title contention. if anything, she’s at the mercy of UFC matchmaking which doesn’t always make the most sense or just overlooks deserving fighters because of other interests.
This is what bugs me about Dana White and UFC as a whole. What is the point of publicly calling her and and shaming her for this? She has to make money and White has clearly proven he isn’t going to throw cash their way for nothing. This is idiotic.
True but Polanski chose the novel. Sharing the character’s penchants might have been his reason for making a movie from this book instead of the millions of others out there.
It’s not though, almost all the dialogue in the film, including that scene, is verbatim from Ira Levine’s novel.
That was the prevailing sentiment back then, as well. All the peace and love hippies were full of shit.
In Repulsion, he shows a young woman who becomes a murderer as a result of being sexually abused when she was a child. Truly creepy in that the movie precedes his rape by about a decade.
I’ve never watched a Polanski film or an Allen film. Quite frankly I don’t know why people enjoy the films from either man. Having read the synopses of several of their films, they don’t interest me. I also had no idea 7th Heaven reruns were being aired.
Expecting someone to be “pious and perfect” and expecting them not to RAPE CHILDREN is pretty different.
Seriously on B? He was sad so he drugged and raped a child?
Oh, you think Polanski and Allen only had one victim? Ha, sure they did. Sure.
