That…, I.., -hm. That woman.
Yeah. The first episode scared me a bit. Worried this was going to be a mess. This got my faith back. According to reviewers, the next episode is even better. Excited.
Such a good, and unusual show.
Nah. There was some seriously dark/gruesome stuff in some episodes.
First episode was bad, but this was muchhhh better. Not height of the X-Files good, but solid, and actually genuinely felt like the X-Files, rather than something pretending to be, badly, which was what the first episode felt like, to me.
Nice to see someone being reasonable and kind, despite their dislike for someone.
Yeah. I agreed. I was a bit disappointed in the whole “what a twist” direction. It felt cheap, and it cheapened a lot of the previous mythology and main arc story that did make any sense. It basically ruins the entire plot of Mulder with his father and some of the other reticent G-Men who participated, and the…
It was pretty terrible, agreed. Supposedly it was by far the weakest of the first 3 episodes, though, so I’m trying to stay hopeful.
The Jedi Knight series was really great, especially Outcast. And both it and Academy had a ton of really great mods, and people still play multiplayer, to this day. Good memories.
Right? I NEED it.
Yup. If you have the chance to play it on a high-end PC, do so. It runs pretty well, doesn’t have many bugs in my experience (admittedly I didn’t run into many at the start either, frankly. I think the consoles were the main problem. It was just too much for them.), and it’s genuinely one of the most technically…
No, much better, actually.
Syndicate’s fun to an extent. Lot of devolution, on a number of different levels, though.
Improvements also to some systems/UX that needed it though, I admit.
An utterly beautiful and technically impressive, but flawed game. Underrated, in all reality, despite many of its flaws being very real.
If you play it on a high-end PC, there’s not really many other environments in games that can compete with it.
-sigh-
You really going to make that argument?
Okay. Here: http://boards.theforce.net/threads/practi…
Materials and texturing could be a bit better, along with post. Unreal is pretty effective out of the box though, I’ll admit.
Eh. I think it’s probably one of the most reasonable points of critique, I agree.
-But I always saw it sort of as a decline in civilization, and well, civility and elegance. A technological and social depression that took place as the Empire took a despotic hold over the galaxy, with an iron fist, redirecting most…
God forbid I have a strong opinion about beautiful craftsmanship.
Honestly, so much agreement on that last sentence. To the point that you can show them actual facts proving they’re wrong about something, and they’ll still blithely ignore it or argue against it being reality. It’s bizarre.
Not talking about this^ being a fact. Art is subjective, of course, but honestly, if you think…
Exactly. The art was genuinely incredible. I know taste is subjective, but I have no idea how someone can argue against that.
At that point, I think it’s pretty clear they’re heavily biased already, and are basically primed to hate anything prequel-related, simply because it did come from the prequels.
