“rabies thriller”
He also did the X-Wing in the trench further down the wall and the Tron Flynn’s/Recognizer one above it.
More Ferguson on another wall.
Chris Thornley, who goes by Raid71 as his artist name. That one is probably my favorite. You can see Zhora running away in the lower right corner - very subtle. He’s done several other Blade Runner prints in a similar style but I like this one the most.
A combination of Michael’s and Amazon. I hit Michael’s hard on their Black Friday sale to get what I need, and then Amazon is good for the non-standard sizes (like the Ferguson 24” x 12” etc, and the 18” x 36” ones I have there).
Ferguson (via io9) was the gateway drug that lead to this, and its spreading.
And rainbows were all the rage back in 1980.
Crap, I don’t have room for another 24x36! This will probably bump the Durieux Raiders poster (which frankly I was never that excited over). If these guys do Peaks’ Excalibur or Rollerball posters, I’m screwed.
You’re not wrong, they totally flipped the artwork! It was always Kirk first on the left and the colors in rainbow order. Why would they do that?
Perhaps the best opening credits in the history of film.
Actually I believe it’s the northwest face of Rainier that poses the highest risk. I agree that Seattle will be largely safe save for the mess of ash, but Tacoma would not be in great shape.
I’m so torn on this one. I’ve had the Mk I since it launched (at a then-astounding $600) and have been so in love it I pretty much abandoned all my other photographic equipment. I’ve watched every subsequent release for that magic something to make me upgrade but haven’t found it. I rely on it heavily while hiking and…
People say “fan service” like it’s a bad thing. This is a 40 year old film world that has made billions of dollars - keeping the fans happy should be goal #1, and it doesn’t mean the film can’t be high quality.
I thought I read that they decided not to go for human-rating the Falcon Heavy quite a while ago, in favor of developing the BFR.
Stratos was my first thought too, especially the greenhouse.
Well when you throw theft into the mix then it’s an entirely new level of crime. I do like the idea of creative punishments that have some sort of overall benefit to society, it’s just that those so often aren’t punitive enough, and that was one of the OP’s concerns. But you’re right, make them do something to HELP…
Nice hot take. Where do I advocate for police abuse? I want to see a stricter law for this type of activity just like the OP because it’s more than just reckless driving.
I’m not a big fan of asset forfeiture laws because of the abuses we have seen, but I could certainly get behind a narrowly applied one in these cases. Get caught doing donuts in an empty parking lot - maybe get a ticket. Get caught flagrantly stopping traffic and causing public disruption for your own fun - lose your…
