"I can see Uranus!"

When this debuted in the late 80s, it was incredible and it still looks good today. Credit Bruno Sacco's design philosophy.

Dear God, it's the Ferrari Modulo of pickup trucks.

"You're going to need a bigger barbeque."

The brilliance of this movie is that it doesn't come across like a period piece, it actually looks and feels like it was shot in the 70s. You honestly feel like you are watching something that was shot 15-20 years before it actually was.

I've seen some of those too. Word was that David Prowse didn't realize they weren't going to use his actual voice for Vader and was very upset when he found out after the fact. It would have been ridiculous if they hadn't

Can someone explain to my why they are being exclusive about the region? There's plenty of big money in Europe, Asia and the US, I would think it would make sense to sell these to whoever wants and can afford one. Is it easier to certify a limited run car in the Middle East (crash testing, etc?)

Francis Bacon said, "There is no excellent beauty, that hath not some strangeness in the proportion." Anne Hathaway's eyes are disproportionately large, Cameron Diaz's are further apart than normal, Mila Kunis' nose is kind of blunt. These things make them unique and add to their beauty.

And any design that mentions Indiana Jones clearly gets extra points.

I loved him in front of and behind the camera. My personal favorite of his was "Chapin". Rest in peace, Sir Richard.

As a kid in the late 70s I lived in Stowe, VT. My father, former racer, all-around car guy and prototype of a Jalop, traded in his Mk. I Scirocco on a more respectable 242GT. I remember that car well with its black corduroy upholstery trimmed in red leatherette. It was the first car I ever broke 100mph in. I loved

I will chime in with another endorsement for the Alps Mountaineering tents, incredible value for the money. I picked up a Chaos 3 about five years ago from REI Outlet for something less than $140. It's been though the ringer - two plus hours of thunderstorms with torrential downpours, two+ inches of wet snow when we

Well said.

This happened to me once many years ago. I only discovered it when, after picking up my car on a Monday, I popped the trunk a couple of days later and found two beach chairs, a cooler and a Walkman that weren't mine. Turns out the mechanic took my car to the beach that weekend, amongst God knows what else.

I recall reading an article a year or two ago about the giant Asian Tiger Shrimp invading US waters. All the while I am reading I am asking, "Can you eat it? Can you eat it?" Somewhere down the article the say something like, "The shrimp, which is edible, is said to have a taste between regular shrimp and lobster."

I was disappointed not to see the Lancia Thema 8.32 on the list just for it's uniqueness, but then I just looked it up and realized it's probably slower than a contemporary Accord.

True, but even grouchy old Enzo gave credit where credit was due (E-Type).

Had Ferrari built it, nobody would ever have given a second thought to the Miura.

Ha! Yup, there it is. She seems built for it better than me. I couldn't get my wife to try it.

They actually have a BD-5 in the kids play area of the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in Oregon. I'm not sure if it was a J or not, the engine has been removed, but it seems otherwise complete so kids can climb in and work the control surfaces. I have always been a huge fan of these so I wasn't going to miss an
