This happened to me once many years ago. I only discovered it when, after picking up my car on a Monday, I popped the trunk a couple of days later and found two beach chairs, a cooler and a Walkman that weren't mine. Turns out the mechanic took my car to the beach that weekend, amongst God knows what else.
I was disappointed not to see the Lancia Thema 8.32 on the list just for it's uniqueness, but then I just looked it up and realized it's probably slower than a contemporary Accord.
True, but even grouchy old Enzo gave credit where credit was due (E-Type).
Had Ferrari built it, nobody would ever have given a second thought to the Miura.
Ha! Yup, there it is. She seems built for it better than me. I couldn't get my wife to try it.
They actually have a BD-5 in the kids play area of the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in Oregon. I'm not sure if it was a J or not, the engine has been removed, but it seems otherwise complete so kids can climb in and work the control surfaces. I have always been a huge fan of these so I wasn't going to miss an…
Bring the wagon and keep the price within $1-2K of that and I will NP one right off the showroom floor.
It didn't need less power, they just needed to smooth out the delivery.

"Foreign Limosine" is going on my list of potential band names.
The runner up to the CR-V was actually a Forester. We've had loads of both Hondas and Subarus in the family, both great cars though I am not overly excited with the direction Subaru has taken in recent years.
For the New England variation on this, I nominate the CR-V which I got my mom to buy. All the same benefits of the Accord plus AWD. As a bonus, the higher ride height makes getting in an out a bit easier, especially after a knee replacement.
I have two cats. If someone can bring a 914/6 we can go all Mythbusters on your assessment.
That Zen thing extended to the showroom floor as well. One summer afternoon while I was in my college years, I drove around to various luxury car dealerships to look at cars. My dad was in the market so I was just poking around to see some stuff in person. Went to BMW to see the then-new 8-series, they had a stick up…
Best use of snowboards EVER.
Years ago I stopped at a rest area in Connecticut in the middle of a drive from NYC to Boston. Walking in, I admired a Miata with its top down and I fondly remembered the times I'd gotten to drive one and I envied the owner. As I walked past, I looked in and noticed it was an automatic. I shook my head in…
I was scratching my head after the first Twitter pics but it looks great in these photos. I actually really like it, especially with the yellow calipers. Kudos to Jay Kay for making the bold choice, I probably would have just opted for plain old red. I'd love to see a photo of this next to a red one and a white one.
Awesome choice! I have had a chance to see him many times and I love how he applies his current sound to the classics, but about 3-4 years ago he toured the Pleasure Principle album, playing it in sequence ('Metal' being the 2nd track) and in the original synth-only style - it was amazing.
