Solitary confinement as it is currently used is psychological torture. No one familiar with the study of human psychology, and the reality of humans as a social animal, can possibly think that solitary confinement is anything but a horrific and counter-productive tool.

We could see this sort of play every single week if the refs decided to miss 4+ calls per play again. He was down, two blocks in the back, and too many men on the field. If you just decide that those aren’t worth enforcing, you’ll see a LOT more kick returns for touchdowns each week.
