Just leaving this here for reasons

If I wanted to think about a miserable, average adult with a boring life that's going nowhere, I'd tune into my own life. I don't need to read fiction about it.

I always thought the criticism that the protagonists in these novels are special/talented/born to be different/ etc was kind of, I don't know, not especially well thought out. Like, who would read a novel about some average nobody? That the person is special or whatever is, like, the reason there is a story.

SI is "for" men, and high fashion is "for" women, so it isn't really something that would influence fashion, I would guess.

You answered your own question. The fashion industry doesn't care about average people.

Something not sexist and patronizing.

Well I guess I'm pretty lucky that the chiropractor my GP recommended isn't along these lines. I literally was not able to sleep through a night from back pain but since I started having adjustments done, I'm able to go longer and longer between visits pain-free. This is a lower back/hip issue, though, nothing to do

Not to be all "not all chiropractors" but seriously, "they?" Who are "they?"

My GP doc recommended chiropractic care for my back pain and it has helped tremendously so I think it depends on the issue and the chiropractor.

I don't think I disagree with the general idea of Prudie's advice, which is that it is really nothing to get upset over, but the tone and wording strikes me as super sexist and gross. Can we please stop calling women prudish? It's extremely patronizing.

Hey, just because you don't understand or agree with her reasons doesn't mean she doesn't have them!

Yeah maybe you guys just shouldn't have cats. Because cats have claws.

Fortunately, we don't all have to run our life choices by you.

I'm not young and I'm also a historian. So tell me more about how things change and stay the same.

You don't get to dictate what another person's wedding should be. Your attitude is really kindercult-ish. Not everyone wants children in their lives. But somehow they're still able to get married. I know, it's crazy!

Things change. Weddings have changed. Childrearing has changed. It happens. It isn't better or worse it's just different.

Yeah I assume including the one where they say to you, "Okay, bye, this is for adults."

Or the simple understanding that the world doesn't revolve around kids, nor is every situation appropriate for them.

Just because we were all kids once doesn't mean it's appropriate to have kids in every situation.

Sounds like everyone involved would prefer your solution of staying home with your kid!
