Banning gas does not save money. Construction costs are comparable, but gas is much cheaper than electricity. Banning natural gas will cost the average buying of a new home in the Bay Area over $300/year in increased utility costs. And that estimate is based on present electric rates. PG&E will be raising rates 30-40%…

Delaying their releases for a year, or more, until the pandemic is over wouldn’t be practical.
