i ran into this as well.  i’m happy enough with the upgrade, but about a year ago i started placing the taskbar on the top of the screen.  win10 wouldn’t show the weather up there.  now win11 doesn’t even let me move it.  i assume that will change in the future.

additionally, the headcount of junior vs. senior staff is very different - it’s entirely possible that the total of the salary increases allocated to junior employees is equal or higher than that of the senior bumps.

instead of pulling numbers out of my butt like the blogger did, i checked glassdoor quickly to see that developers make about 80k to 220k at ubisoft.  the pay raises sound like an attempt to pull up to match the market, which would be part of the reason senior employees get a bigger bump.

sure, in the original article. this blog piece, that i’m commenting on, completely ignores sources of income while questioning the disparity in athlete salaries across sports.
