yea i am very confused by the tone of that aspect of these deals. epic wasn’t forcing anyone to do anything. they reached out to a bunch of developers to make deals and came to various agreements.

if i’m ordering something with some sort of flavor additive, i typically ask for half whatever it is.

There are a good number of unique characters in the MK universe that have been around for decades now and would be great to build some origin stories with...but it’s gonna take a lot of very smart visionaries to develop a cohesive universe based on a franchise that is essentially one on one fights for...reasons.

yep.  we can clean up IP a bit sure, but at the end of the day, the rich and powerful will always be rich and powerful and best suited to take advantage of whatever rules are (or aren’t) in place.  regulation has to come from elsewhere.

considering their bonuses are tied directly to the profits generated, sounds like if they fucked up in this situation, if they didn’t the bonus would be even bigger.

I don’t get the negative snide of this article. CPD is a company with the goal of generating profits. Last year they generated profits and that money is going directly to it’s employees. Seems like a win for everyone.
