one thing i omitted for the sake of brevity was to rank the backlog using opportunity cost:  what are you playing right now and of all the games you want to play, what do you want to play the most to maximize your personal satisfaction of the time you have to game.

the quality of the ‘straight to streaming’ blockbusters hasn’t helped much i would imagine.

how about a tax that disproportionately effects rich people, causing them to spend more money, that has absolutely no impact on their lifestyle.

I would simplify it further: a backlog is a list of released games that you would like to be playing right now.

1. Play games that you actually find fun.

I’m sure they will get there some day, but you’re basically asking for them to manufacture a $2500+ laptop that will have a niche market made relatively redundant by their existing product and service portfolio.

lookin’ at you Fallout 4 and AC Odyssey!

i actually started doing the running part during the pandemic and it worked great, lost 20 pounds!  then stupid injuries as a result of said running and have not been able to run for months.  and walking is not helping unfortunately.

i’m surprised that japan, of all places, would have a poor vaccine rollout.

he’s probably trying to internally justify living in nyc working remotely on below market wages.

are the first two as fun as the third?  on netflix they barely even show it’s part of a trilogy and hard to find the other two movies anywhere to stream

not a show, but borning 3 on netflix is dumb car fun

55 MPH was the most fuel efficient speed because that was the speed limit manufacturers were designing to, not because 55 MPH is the most efficient speed.

engineers aren’t designing tooling to efficiently manufacture hundreds of thousands of roofs in florida.

absolutely agree.  hp and 0-60 times are getting comical for general market daily drivers.

I’m somewhat shocked at how mediocre fuel efficiency is for modern vehicles. There was a recent article that mentioned a Jeep’s mileage and I thought “huh, that seems bad” then I googled the competition, and it was all in the same relative range.

buyouts!  but those usually involve an agreed upon sum less than what is owed in the original contract.  also, those are for cash, whereas the CEO is receiving 100% stock.

he’s not getting $179MM in cash. he’s getting $179MM in stock, based on a number of shares previously agreed upon, and using the pre-meme stock price as a metric. the share value will go up with his ouster, as is common with CEO turnover, then will hopefully drop once the meme stuff goes away.

Considering 200MM+ doses have been administered, we can have a full professional sports seasons with minimal disruption, film tv shows and movies, i think it’s ok if a few kids get together to play UNO on a webcam.

yes. it’s the black coating. i HATE it. also, as an audi person, i didn’t like those rims either, but at least they aren’t so loud, and they look super easy to clean. the same era audi had a much better wheel option.
