Sam writes “there is something to be said” and then fails to actually say much of anything (other than he’s only just now coming around to understanding the premise of What If?).

Had the change not been made: “there is something to be said for the fact that Marvel refused to replace a man with a woman in its promotional materials, especially in light of Scarlett Johansson’s lawsuit and Disney’s tone-deaf media response.”
“there is something to be said for the fact that Marvel jumped at the chance to replace a Black man with a white woman in its promotional materials.”
“The show has developed into a fun vehicle for fan service, clever writing, and likable characters.”
This review is unbelievably positive when the truth is that season 1 struggled a LOT to come up with a steady tone/through plot.
You know, I’m not a super huge fan of Trek - but what I want from the series? Optimism, exploration, intelligence over brute force. Pretty sure “Gangsters” is about 4,672 on my list.
After reading this, I’m glad they didn’t.
It was a fun little movie, probably made more fun by the fact that we were high when we watched it.
Torrenters: “Hold my beer.”
Stargirl is actually a really good show. Looking forward to it being back. I watched it on HBO Max. I didn’t actually realize it’s a CW show.
Does anyone remember “The Young Ones” where Motörhead played this song in the guys’ kitchen? That was pretty cool. (Unless I dreamed it?)
Swamp Thing, RIP
Jesus Christ, has the poor woman not been through enough shit! A true warrior.
He can no longer say, “Please. Mr. Urine is my father.” He has taken the mantel of “Mr. Urine.”
And a house with golden shower heads.
Yeah, once a guy hits 35 he needs to go with “Jim Urine” or “James Urine.”
If I’ve got my math right, I think it’s also depressing that a fifty-one-year-old who calls himself “Jimmy Urine” is still in a band called “Mindless Self Indulgence”
I seem to differ from most in that while I like the lore-heavy episodes, I’m glad they’re not all like this. The varying tone and humour keeps it fresher than it’d be were the melodrama constant.
Watched this with my son, which led to me showing him clips of Hawk from the Buck Rogers t.v. show to explain BP. What I’m saying is: Rick and Morty brings families together.
He isn’t saying that he created Bucky.
