So... you leave your lane completely... then decide you want it back once someone else is now occupying it... then ram them back and claim it's their fault and the should have yielded to you?

If Sen. Harris had been on-board, the bus would have been escorted by some number of black Suburbans with armed Secret Service agents on board. The Y’all Qaeda cowards would not have had the guts to swarm the bus. Typical bully mentality, look for someone perceived as weak and vulnerable. Fuck those MAGA scumbags.

Please tell me what “major city” has been “burnt down”.

Benghazi was on that bus holding ten thousand child sex slaves in the basement on their way to Wayfair cabinets.

This is a traffic violation and attempted homicide. Why hasn’t anyone been arrested?”

They are basically a less organized version of the SA. They are doing everything the SA did before 1933, just without a proper command structure and brown shirts.

That these sorts of people exist is so profoundly depressing and terrifying. What are these inbred, slack jawed, knuckle dragging, assholes in their bro-dozer pick-ups going to do when Biden wins? They don’t seem to have much of a limit - terror tactics on the street. Plotting to kidnap and kill Governors?

Fucking argue against it. It’s dangerous illegal intimidation.

And our lovely president stoked the fires even more. This is how sad America has become. Pathetic.

Ok, but uber/lyft doesn’t treat them like employees. They dont have a schedule or payday or anything that you would expect from an employee/employer. They are treated like independent contractors.

It’s good that anecdotes are not valid data, and I was not trying to say they were. What I was trying to say it that its not nearly as cut and dried as jalopnik/kinja would like to think. There are a large number of drivers on both sides of this, and both sides have very valid reasons to want 22 to pass or fail. And

Prop 22 will pass. And the drivers I know are happy about that. They are working for uber because they DON’T want to be normal employees.

Erik, we all seem to have missed the part where Uber and Lyft force people to work for them.

Yes, but yellow cabs are terrible. Drivers are rude, cars are filthy, prices high. Uber and Lyft has made everybody’s life better except the cab drivers’.

Honestly, if it’s NO, drink-driving will start spiking again. Here in LA, Uber and Lyft have for sure saved lives. Start making it slow to get a ride - or prohibitively expensive - it’s not going to end well.

Which is probably the best solution, really.

Every single Uber/Lyft/Doordash/etc worker I know plans to vote yes on 22. They aren’t stupid and can read the writing on the wall if AB5 goes through.

Can someone explain to me how making it more expensive to operate an already unprofitable business is good for the employees long term?

All the people who keep ragging on Uber and Lyft are going to wake up one day in CA to no ridesharing services at all - and all the people that were making SOME money off their side gig will now be making NO money off their side gig. Like the old saying goes, “Be careful what you ask for”.

I’m confused.
