I didn’t watch the video yet but, man, loved your recap.

SpaceX is getting a lot of bang for their bucks. (lol) but they also have 5 more of these Starships in various stages of completion. And building them of stainless steel instead of carbon fiber or other exotic materials really does cut down the costs. This crash might set them back a week, (if that) whereas Boeing’s

This is more of an agile development cycle where testing is continuous during development and there is no such thing as failure, as such tests are meant to generate data...not validate a platform.

The development costs are heavier up front, but overall (generally) results in a lower cost and faster development as they

A process where everyone can say no results in a General Motors style least risky design possible. If you want to move fast and break things, you have to break some things and then fix them in the next design iteration. Your first product won’t be perfect but it will be on the market which allows you to learn,

Can i get a version with just Elon’s audio?  that part was good, I could only listen to Sandy talk so much...

Right?! Engineering and solving technical problems is his forte. Interacting with the public and “public perception” is not.  Why do people expect him to solve their emotional issues?

This Elon is good Elon.

this is why

Have you seen either of these cars in person? They definitely stand out among BMWs and Audis and Mercedes. Then again, I’m in the Chicago area, so maybe I’m just tired of seeing them everywhere.

Still one of the most questionable branding strategies I can remember.

Same as one of the worst automotive decisions from a few weeks ago.

yeah, cause a 3400 lbs front wheel drive sedan surely has the same driving characteristics as a purpose built rally homologation special that weighs 400 lbs less.....

Another way to push EV is to raise the tax on petroleum at the pump. We in the U.S. pay way too little for gasoline and diesel.

Telsa is somehow more efficient with it’s battery, but also at the same time less efficient at charging that same battery. Odd. But then why is the Telsa so inefficient at charging? Why can’t Tesla match the charging efficiency of its competitors? Does Tesla not know how? Or not care?

Tesla cheats on the EPA cycle. Anyone who cares to look and perform basic math can see it. The battery pack value stated doesn’t match the EPA mpg recharge value. In short, Tesla either lies about battery size or sends a model with a special battery to the EPA test.

Trick question: Kinja itself is unnecessary.

Let’s not start asking which Kinja features are and are not necessary.

Clearly you haven’t been to a Kia dealer.

Horseshit.  I’m not a Tesla apologist or anything, but trying to put any blame on Tesla is crazy.  The Tesla “driver” doing 135mph is totally at fault.  If anything the AP tried to save him by giving him a 40 second chance to pass.  Unless your was a poor attempt at sarcasm you need to drive more to know what cars can

No disrespect sir, but the AP disengaged with an audile warning 40 seconds before impact. 40 seconds at 100 mph is 1.1 miles.
