Maybe all that record ice in Antartica is the problem.

I’d say take a good look at a Subaru WRX - STi version if you have the budget. Bonus if you find a hatchback version (none available in 2016 models) - always been a big fan of the look. These cars are fun to drive, affordable to own and will last a long, long time. There are other good recommendations, but BMW’s…
Porsche 911 Turbo - noticed about a week later that the where front bumper cover/spoiler and fender liner come together - was completely broken off. No way to prove they did it - so i fixed it best I could. You can only imagine what a repair would cost on that. I imagine they were driving it like the Ferrari in Ferris…
Now that you mention bad SC drivers - one of the weirdest wrecks I came across was a car that was upside down - at the end of an ON-Ramp! It was the only car around - the driver could never really explain how they ended up there. There was no visible skid marks or anything...
Think about how nice the instrument panel will look with half the engine gauges gone.
Got one as a rental this week from Hertz. Surprisingly not too bad. hate the info screen, climate control - Like a Windows 3.1 app. Good pickup, AWD, tons of room. Visibility sucks. I can add more after 2 more days of driving it.
That is typical. They need dexterity that they couldn't get with a blast proof glove.
You beat me to it! How much it has (and hasn't) changed.
Did any of you actually read it ?
Yeah, and the pin is held in place with a tiny Cotter pin at that. The walk-around involves checking a lot of pins and cotter pins.
Hot on the ground, great when flying...can actually get quite cool. What can bother you is sunburn...you get much more exposure because of the cockpit being mostly clear and higher altitude right at cloud level (if you are doing it right). Goofy fishing hats are the norm since they cover your scalp, face and neck…
Oxygen levels are inadequate at altitudes higher than 10000 ft.
The sailplanes generally are not flying very fast (airspeed). Much slower typically than Cessna 152. I have had ground speed of 0 (or less) with a good head wind. In ridge soaring - the ground speed may be very high, but airspeed is still relatively low.
What would be the point ? Do pilots flying at much higher speeds wear helmets? The altitude makes no difference in that regard.
Great article to a very unique story. However, I don't completely agree with the statement, "That's the reason pilots always wear a parachute in the event that the aircraft breaks apart."
You can buy "Track Insurance" on a per event basis. If you can't afford to write your car off - then I would get it. It paid for half my 911 Turbo.
