Germany began building concrete roads in the late 1880s and in 1934 started using concrete pavement extensively in the construction of its motorway (Autobahn) system. Between 1935 and 1939, some 2,200 mi (3,500 km) of motorways were built with a pavement cross-section of about 9 in (220 mm) of wire-mesh reinforced

GOOD SEARCH - let us know what you found. Have FUN!

Not involved in road construction. Just did some research...

CORRECTION - Dieter’s last name is RENCKEN. Writtes brilliantly about F1 commercial affairs. My favorite column in Autosport, hands down.

“However, over the next few weeks we could see further potential suitors submit offers to CVC. An offer could well come from a consortium of teams, with the Big Four -

Improper wording, for a professional, to be sure. Sorry

Rise, no so sure... But sink, never! ;-)

For REAL high quality, naturally occurring asphalt from Trinidad has a melting point between 199.4 and 208.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 93 and 98 degrees Celsius.

When my father visited PORSCHE factory early in 1969, he spoted a prototype of a 914. Upon returning home, he mentioned it as well as how well the new model was disguised. Boy, was he totally schocked later, when the production version was finally released as it was 100% itentical to what he thought was the well

If you were in the infield, I understand TOTALLY... ;- ))

CORRECTION - ... then new requirement for 1974, ...

Your last sentence needs a bit of a correction, if I may - the Type 901 was indeed the last traditional 911. For the 964 sported a BRAND NEW platform, the G-Type platform, primarily developed to comply with then new requirement for 1994, theose 5-mph front and rear bumpers but also to intoduce worthwhile improvements

However, already a far better AWD system was installed in the 993 C4. So, if AWD is desired in 964 C4, best solution is to replace it with the

Electronically; on wet sumped engines, when the key is turned on, the engine NOT started, an electronic oil level gauge is displayed in one of the instruments. Since even warm oil takes a while to drain from everywhere it went, there is a countdown feature, sould one wants to know pretty accurately where the oil level

BlisterBerg is now being used for PR functions a lot. Nice track but not nearly as long, or offering the surface variety N-Ring provides, as it had been just recently, flawlessly constructed.

Sebring race track has something VERY UNIQUE, NO OTHER RACE TRACK CAN OFFER SO MUCH OF IT - being pretty rough and bumpy. Therefore, it makes an IDEAL venue to test a race car for their ability not only to handle both but, even more importantly, to literally SHAKE DOWN the car, to prove what components can or can not

The Ascari track, does it also have a Corkscrew of Laguna Seca?

Why?
