Crazy question, but has anyone here actually lived with or even as much as driven any of these cars?

Why can't the rest of the world be cool like me and like the cars that I do?

Mustang for me. First, I'm a Ford guy all the way having owned a couple dozen Mustangs. Second, the styling of the Camaro is just a cartoonish charactuer of the iconic '69.

I understand that. I said that I will be surprised if they hold up as well as a Model T or VW Beetle, two cars that were incredibly durable. My hat is off to Tata if they can build vehicles that will last 50 or 100 years.

But yer learnin' some stuff, right?

Thanks! I'll give the Widmer a try. Sounds something like the Sierra Nevada Celebration, which I will be partaking in here shortly.

Thanks, but HOLY HELL! Doesn't she know better than to wash that thing in the direct sunlight?

Let me elaborate. Both the Beetle & Model T were awful in many ways, but as jzEllis pointed out, they were easy to repair and had character in spades, so you wanted to repair them. But not everyone likes to work on their cars.

Dear Mr. Mulally and Mr. Fields,

It's got a 'wind monocle'.

The point is that so many did indeed survive, unlike all the Japanese econo-boxes that were so prevalent in the 70s & 80s. In the late 70s, Datsun B210s and their ilk outnumbered Beetles by what seemed like 10-1 around here. Couldn't tell you when the last time I saw one was though.

So the super rich can't be hardcore car fanatics. That's reserved for us regular folk. Interesting.

The difference that I see between the Model T, Beetle and these interesting Indian cars is that I would be shocked if they are built to last forever like those two icons. (Yes, I left out the awful 2CV on purpose.)

Fender labia.

Snake ears.

Gratuitous.

Der cockslot?

Sad...

Boss 302?

Interesting. Perusing that info, it appears that the plug can be disconnected at any time without issue.
