I’m sure after 3 years of ownership lighting $12,500 on fire would be cheaper than all of the repair costs + purchase price of this crap heap.

Road car turned soft roader with VW reliability, a little four banger, and enough clearance to maybe fit 27" tires. Well I sure do love getting stuck out in the middle of the no where. Total Crack pipe, just like the last time one of these was featured here. http://jalopnik.com/5895047/for-12500-thank-god-im-a-country-

I’m dying, you kept the rock! God forbid you get stuck on the side of the road AGAIN and needed a rock just like that one.

Yeah, he almost killed that blue buggies spotter.

So true. I had an ‘01 S430 last until 283,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. My family had the car for 15 years and by the time we sold it to carmax the electronics and interior were completely shot, but it never failed to start.

NP all day long. Buy rusty tub jeep for $3,250. Buy Fresh tub for ~$2k. Swap tubs and get tetanus. Sell project to David at a loss. Laugh at David’s misfortune while browsing Jalopnik with your tongue.

Tracy would vote crack pipe because there is not enough rust and/or frame damage.

Shame about the renegade, they do look great. At least you got a wrangler out of it.

If you want a beach truck and dont care about offroading get the sport. IF you’re going to off road a moderate amount get the rubicon. If this is going to be your hobby and you’re going to do it every weekend buy the oldest POS jeep some $10k axles and a camary to DD.

No no, this is great advice! You’ll have near zero emergency response time for when you crash in to a tree for trying this garbage.

Seriously, the Chevy went from perfectly respectable and handsome front grille to squinty LED eyeliner mess. At least the GMC twin still looks good.

How do y’all survive? Are all of your building made of steel and concrete to support the weight? I live in the Southeast US and if we get 3 inches of snow all forms of civilization shut down.

The US G55 doesn’t really appeal to me because, new or used, it’s insanely expensive relative a Rubicon. It attracts way too much attention. I can’t wash it out with a hose or take the doors off. It doesn’t come in a soft top or a manual. I had 2 MB W220's that were comfy and quick, but they drained my pockets faster

That’s actually kind of ok. Unless they didnt redo the interior. Then still vom.

So true! For ever single one of these....

You’ve missed the point. The ethos of the Olympics is a competitive celebration of the abilities of the human form. Watching the games is a spectacle because these are the best of breed athletes of their individual sports. A title earned through immense personal sacrifice and fanatic devotion to training and diet

Oh I would have contributed more in the last few years but the last company I worked for blocked Google, Facebook, etc. so I wasn’t able to login to comment :(

No, I don’t think a mid-engine Corvette will attract a younger crowd. If I’m going to drop $100k on a toy I’m going to get a boat not a car. Besides why ruin ~60 years of brand imagine when you can have a Corvette AND mid-engine super car with a different name? Why not both???

It’s really a shame how the actions of Gawker are affecting Jalopnik. They’ve lost so many good writers in the past year alone. I’d hate to see this site go. I’ve been reading it since ~’07.

Don’t let the actions of one miserable person ruin ruin your good manners. You definitely did the right thing.
