Friend of mine who used to live in Louisiana said shit like that happens all the time.

"Finally! Something for the football fan in me!" - Rex Ryan, upon opening his Bills stiletto this Christmas.

Shocked by the death of Joe McKnight. Drafted by the Jets in 2010, played through the Rex Ryan era, before moving on to the Chiefs, but was never able to shake some fumbling issues that eventually led him to join the CFL recently.

That makes me feel a little better, I guess.

I hate the shots of Robert Kraft, mostly because he has Donald Trump's fashion sense.

Sure. it was the Pats that kept the Jets in that game.

Same.

I'm just going to come out and say it, this is the best Block & Tackle of the year.

I can't stand the argument that Green Day were bubblegum pop punk. It's usually knee-jerk to immediately compare them to say, the Ramones, who never wrote a song like "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" or "Rockaway Beach."

I don't remember the song by the Shins in the movie, and they never caught on with me regardless. I can't really speak to the qualities of their music, in or out of the context of the movie, but I can at least agree on the broken and irrelevance of commercial radio.

I think its profile has been boosted way too much by "Shawn of the Dead."

Re: Garden State — you are opening a can of worms.

"Roadrunner."

The 'crying and don't know why' list:

Here, take my wallet. Driver's license is in the middle, SSN behind that little pocket there. Do what you will, just gimme the damn paw.

"See No Evil" by Television. The way it amps itself up, the steely-yet-slinky bassline, and that freak-funk rhythm, all of it sounding so effortlessly cool. Almost underrated compared to the title track, "Marquee Moon," but it's a damn near perfect song to me regardless.

The first break with that funky little keyboard part made me fall in love for the song, and it always disappointed me that it never came back in the other breaks. Still, great pick.

I would give up so much if it meant never hearing "Hallelujah," "Don't Stop Believin'" or "Wonderwall" ever again.

Ugh. God damn it…
