As embarrassing as it may be, Yahoo Music introduced me to some of my now favorite bands — NMH, The Decemberists and of Montreal.

I don't know why but Grandpa vs. Prowler cracked me up.

They're one of my favorite bands but I still have a hard time referring to them out loud.

The Pain and the Yearning would be a good emo band name.

I thought that was Kevin Smith.

She'd basically be like Janet from The Good Place.

Yup, looks like it. I think it might be a great way to face it.

I wouldn't say I'm out on that alone but I'd definitely prefer if they don't do the cliché thing. The show is already so Office-esque, I hope that means they're aware of what to avoid.

Great episode, with the best part being the reveal of Ginny's video breakdown. When the waitress' face flashed that "Oh shit, she needs REAL help" look, it was oddly comforting to know that all of the assembled "adults" there genuinely cared for her and wanted to get her help, not for their own interests but for hers.

Happy to see a recap here. I hope there are more to come. This show has the perfect balance of clever, dry and broad humor.

Tim Meadows never fails to hit it out of the park, no matter how small or rote the role is.

It bugged me when Ginny and Blip were holed up in her locker room, counting down the seconds until the deadline had passed and then being relieved when 5:00 came. It would've been funny if Blip got traded and she was like "but it happened after 5:00!?" only for Oscar to say, "No, you didn't find out about it until

I was mostly just throwing shade, being a Giants' fan and all :)

They're kinda hamstrung when it comes to real/fake players. They can't control real players' storylines and characters but if they completely avoid their existence, the whole show becomes less credible and less believable. They'd also lose the potential boost of real player cameos that would make for good promo clips

The more they show the Padres as being a good team, the less believable it is for me. That's probably why they're not focusing so much on the actual on-field play and wins/losses. Right now, they're focusing on the drama and conflicts that come from the baseline of being at the MLB level. After they mine through all

"You Don't Know Me" is so damn underrated.

I'm surprised there's no mention of Trevor's admission he was "hacked" and the inevitably upcoming storyline of the release of Ginny's "private" photos/videos. Part of me finds it kinda hacky to keep piling on these "ripped from the headlines" elements at the peril of overstuffing the narratives. But it's also nice

Yeah, it was instituted just before this season. I can't believe it took until now. There should probably be at least 2 or 3 in every clubhouse, though.

Ah, ok. There are a lot of moving parts on the show so I guess stuff like this is bound to happen. I'm not sure how much time we can expect them to spend fleshing out the rest of the squad other than how their existence relates to the main characters (Ginny, Amelia, Lawson, Oscar, Al, Frank, Blip). Even Tommy, whose

"Holland, 1945" gets me every time. I can't make it past "indentions in the sheets" without the air leaving my lungs.
