Interesting read. I'm in a funny place with Destiny based on my recent experience with diablo 3. I played D3 at launch and generally thought it was ok but lost interest to push into inferno and didnt even hit 60. I came back to d3 on xbox one since a bunch of my friends started playing recently and mother of god did

Seems a little harsh to say asinie. Maps will be free, and you can play against dlc monsters and hunters even if you dont own them, and if someone is playing as dlc character and drops you can take over the character even if you dont own it.

people typing on mobile and getting autocorrected and not checking is my guess

The engine looks to be heavily building on the catherine engine. The diner in particular just reminds me so much of the central bar from catherine, as do the animations and character proportions.

This and Alundra were two of my favorite games from a tone/thematic point of view. Few games really explore sadness quite so elegantly without wallowing in it. Some have great sad moments but few have it just permeating throughout the entire experience. So happy that I get to revisit majora soon

I started playing Fantasia this weekend and noticed it had an audio delay setting so you could get the game to sync the audio with visual queues. The reason I bring this up is because some sync issues may be due to hardware or audio installation more than the game itself, and having this feature could definitely help

oh my goodness!!! i'd completely forgotten the desert strike series existed.... so fun but so stupidly hard. thanks for the nostalgia!

i cant think of any game off the top of my head blowing up San Francisco... first time i hear san francisco fatigue. New York, done to death. LA, less so but still somewhat. San Francisco though?

For me the moment I appreciated galaxy fully was when you unlocked the throwback galaxies and were able to play mario 64 stages. I remember them being super open, but after galaxy I realized the scale was pretty small in comparison.

only the regular has swappable plates. the XL one does not :(

thats the nostalgia talking. galaxy 1 was phenomenal. galaxy 2 was less special but still pretty good fun.

no bayonetta 2? thats odd considering it made the majority of the 12 best games lists for all the kotaku staff.

dude yes, and I think that's the only party that has a five person team attack

dude my favorite moment was when i got all five and my save file icon changed to the squirrels.

one other piece of advice in suiko 2, the first squirrel is missable. at the beginning of the game check behind the tree in your backyard. I cant remember if its at the very beginning or shortly after, but thats the only time you can get him. If you did that he'll show up later in the game to recruit, otherwise good

I hope suiko 3 comes out, its the only one I didnt play. Also hope ps4 gets a VC for ps1 games because as much as I love suiko 2 i cant justify plugging in my ps3 just to play it again.

Holy shit I was a bit annoyed at myself for buying ACU Gold on xbone since I was convinced the bundled season pass was a waste. Now I get a free far cry 4, suddenly I regret nothing.

now if only blizzard would remake rock n roll racing, my top down racing nostalgia trip would be complete
