A: I am NOT taking my 2013 FRS in for recall work. I IMMEDIATELY thought of the high probability of the clueless toyota service network (as it pertains to this subaru-based car), and knew they’d be more likely to screw it up than I would be to have engine failure (i’ve got 80k miles of dd/autoX/tracking and so far so

Man, supra owners are going to have a GREAT time with toyota techs working on their BMW engines....

Stars to you! I bet they smell like Musk ... LOL

just imagine;

Ideally something real big and scary like this

They invite you and your SO to the key party.

Just stick to this basic shape

Wow. I was ready to like it after looking at that initial ad. But my god. The actual truck is so, so, so ugly. It looks like They just crashed a Chevy into a commercial truck and just went “eh... that’ll do.”

I’m still holding out for a black one with the black rear window louvers. The original Darth Vader car.

I’ll pass on this one. Counting down the days left until 2036 when I can legally import one of the 27 NG 9-5 SportCombis in existence to the US. Hopefully a few will survive.

The 289 Cobra had it. Probably for the same reason--thin aluminum panels.

They never said it was more rigid than older cars, they said it was more rigid than if the crease wasn't there. I'd bet they started showing up when they started really going after efficiency, and going after thinner sheet metal for the weight. Thicker metal didn't need it, thinner metal does.

Ok, but to be fair the entire car on that generation Sentra was basically one vertical flat slab of metal. Yeesh.

Beat me to it.

The Toronado was the first car to make many design elements ugly.

I’ve always heard that the 1966 Toronado was the first car to feature this.

Well, those fenders and quarters are all plastic.............

I’ve definitely noticed that the flat part seems to be getting much bigger recently, especially on crossover things. I assumed it was to make the wheel arch look bigger and make the crossovers look ‘rugged’.

Meanwhile, on the Delta flight: “If you look outside the right side of the plane you’ll see Southwest Flight 214. Give the poor folks packed in over there a big wave using all of your available elbow room.”

I always liked “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for flying SouthWest. If you look out the left side of the plane you’ll see Delta Flight 176. Give them a wave so they can see what a full airplane looks like.”
