Yeah, I discovered it flipping through channels one day and had to record it and show everyone I knew. It was the “Space” episode, and it’s not often you see a show where god kills himself after losing a game of rock, paper, scissors and then a bunch of children cook and eat his body.

Yeah, when he said “I know what this place is” I was like, yeah, me too, I’ve been Dragoncon drunk on those elevators more times than I can count.

They mention Dolby Vision as well, but since that’s basically just good HDR I’m not sure if it will effect the cinema experience at all or is just for the 4k disc

I never really understood the point of their umami seasoning. MSG is half the price and probably more flavor neutral, the TJ version just seems like it’s for people who still don’t realize that MSG is perfectly safe.

I worked at a Long John Silvers in high school. The patties are perfectly diamond shaped because they come as a giant plank of pressed fish like a yard long. They have diagonal score marks every 6 inches or so, and when you need to cook one you just snap off a segment, dip it in the batter, and then toss it in the

Discovering that pre marinated H-Mart bulgogi was definitely a game changer for me. I do food experiments sometimes, and still the one my friends liked most was when I made pizzas with beef bulgogi (precooked in a pan before going on the pizza), green onion kimchi, and kimchi base mixed in with the marinara.

Thank you. I was expecting this and not a closeup of his face and it freaked me out for a second.

Yeah, that’s the only reason I’m not sure if that’s it. Apparently the Darkhold popped up on the Runaways show as well looking the same as it did on AoS. This book looks totally different, but the other shows were just kinda pseudo-MCU so who knows.

There was also the shot when Wanda first enters the basement and sees what looks like the Necronomicon from Evil Dead radiating orange energy, so I definitely think Agatha isn’t doing this alone.

I think it was for the pun, i.e. “Amazing Spider-Man”

Yeah, ever since they mentioned that her body was being rewritten by the hex I’ve been waiting for the moment when she becomes Photon. At this point it looks like she’s not even really aware of just how much she changed, but I’m hoping she realizes her powers and gets to do some cool shit in the next few episodes.

I always think of him as Joe Pera’s neighbor, forever searching for the perfect egg bite

Yep. Plus GOG Galaxy can now connect to pretty much any other games service to give you a unified launcher for everything.

One thing I found interesting is that I think this was the first time Agnes was part of the opening credits sequence. Like she’s made appearances in the montage of clips, but never had her name onscreen.

I didn’t have an issue with the extra pickles personally. I will say that mine definitely looked like the picture, at least from the right angle. The piece of fish was a little thin on one side, but the other side was definitely as thick as the one shown in the promotional image.

I’ve loved him in a ton of things but for some reason Dragnet was the first place my brain went.

Honestly I think the Netflix Marvel shows just ruined peoples expectations for what this show was going to be. This isn’t the “10 hour movie” format where every episode is a small piece of a larger story. Between this and Mandalorian I think it seems clear that D+ is doing things more like Buffy: start with

I understand leaving it out for conflict of interest concerns, but I recently discovered this Substack from a writer from The Takeout and it’s one of the most consistently funny things I’ve read in a long time

Glad I wasn’t the only one. I used to listen to a ska show on the local college station that was called One Step Beyond and they started every set with that song.

Oh nice, thanks for the heads up. I really wanted to check out all the logs and podcasts but didn’t want to spent 4 hours in a menu screen, didn’t realize they finally fixed that.
