“Save...Mothra.”

Of course, that still leaves the mystery of why the hell these two are fighting in the first place.

That’s really interesting to hear. And complex.

It would also help if people knew was “fridging” was. Nat was not randomly and horrifically murdered by Thanos. The Avengers own James Bond made a choice to sacrifice herself and BEAT Barton in hand-to-hand combat in order to do it. What the film is really missing is that, even apart from being an Avenger, Nat *does*

oooOOOHHHH MY GOD thank you. WHY DO WE KEEP LITIGATING THIS. It’s being willfully obtuse to not understand that she’s not saying “Oh noes, I can’t have children, I’m a monsterrrr!” She’s saying “Look at the things I willingly did, solely in order to make myself a more perfect murderer.”

Who wants nuance and actually paying attention to the text of a movie when you have an opportunity to complain about gender politics, though?

Avengers: Age of Ultron introduced the deeply troubling, reductive idea that Black Widow saw herself as a monster because of the Red Room procedure that rendered her sterile (though some debate this).

I’m not going to lie. Without a doubt, I am going to cry the first time I see the Falcon. Real, honest-to-goodness, just like I did the first time I saw my wife walk down the aisle and held both my kids after they were born cry.

The time loop is actually okay in my book, partly because he used the time stone to set a starting point of sorts, but also because he was in Dormammu’s dimension which is supposedly timeless, so we don’t really know how time works there. I was actually referring to how Doctor Strange used the time stone to rewind

Something I want to add about the “A song of ice and fire” is a bit of a theory material. His father was known to love music. He preferred his harp to his lance.

He made a baby with a Stark (Ice) as he is Targaryen (Fire). Jon is Rhaegar’s song of ice and fire.

The “looking for reasons not to like a character...” response has become a lazy cliche here on io9 and it’s honestly touched a nerve. Whenever someone doesn’t gel with the circlejerk, that card gets played. Saw it with anybody who criticized The Last Jedi (“you just hate women/minorities/diversity/etc.”), and sadly I k

Just want to see if I’m getting the gist of your argument here:

That scene made me so much happier than it had any right to. Agent Carter always felt like the show that never got the respect it deserved outside of fandom and James D’Arcy by extension. Haley Atwell we wanted more of, sure. But she'd been so great in the film. But to see Jarvis again. 😁😁😁

The best Easter egg in Endgame was James Darcy’s cameo as Jarvis. It rewarded the viewers of Agent Carter (which is still the best Marvel TV show) and it made perfect sense. Oh course Jarvis would be with Howard Stark in 1970.

This is how I choose to interpret it:

He didn’t act because he knew for certain what the outcome of this reality would be. Basically, he retired as Cap in 2023, went back some 60-or-70 years, found Peggy Carter and lived a quiet life in the background while the younger Steve took care of business. He was a Watcher,

That’s great and thanks again.

Would you go to the love of your life’s funeral twice?

Either old Cap didn’t attend the funeral because young Cap would be there, or he just kept his head down.

Maybe he was at the funeral, just hiding from everyone?
