Not that it matters but, I believe you will be in the minority with this opinion.

I agree, I actually though Batflecks suit made him look less “human who has trained his body to the ultimate level” and more “circus strongman who’s also a little pudgy” and again I’m referring to the suit not Mr Affleck himself. 

And Montoya saying “you have the same power as your mother” in the movie. And the breaking of the glass during her first song. 

It would have been an ok movie without the original to compare it to. Just ok. Packed with talent it should have been better. 

A lot of that is what I thought Suicide Squad should have been. Smaller. Make the Macguffin something they can’t use supers for, like the spear of destiny. In DC lore it can remove superpowers and makes sense for Amanda Waller to want something like that, give it a more Indiana Jones vibe. 

I thought it was... fine. Smollett is a standout, Robbie is always a treat, but in the same way that I think Suicide Squad was trying to be GotG, I think this was trying to be Deadpool. I would posit that while it is sure to be a pessimistic journey through the murderverse, it will be a better film than the theatrical release.

Completely off topic and not a commentary on Whedon or Fischer or anyone else. Cyborg was out of place in this film, it should have been GL John Stewart. Cyborg, and I know it’s been retconned, is not JLA. Also, why weren’t they father boxes?!

The island wasn’t purgatory. Honest to god I was confused as hell with the cast list. I really thought (until I zoomed the poster in) that that was Capaldi in Gallifreyan fashion not Tennant.

I watched the first episode of Wynonna Earp and found it to be unwatchable. Does the show get better? Does the acting get better? Is there a good reason it’s still on?

Yeah, Green Lantern in CW would have to reuse the same SFX shots over and over to stay on budget. It would be crap.

I’m not sure sequel applies. Except for Harry Quinn I think this movie is a soft reboot of the franchise. I wouldn’t be surprised if this film doesn’t take some potshots at the first one, especially since the first one was going for a “James Gunn Guardians” feel but didn’t understand the things that madE “GotG” so…
