I fail to understand the scandal here. When scientists' emails were hacked into, I don't remember the media being up in arms about illegal hacking. This guy simply pretends to be someone else (and who's never done that, say, at a club?) and suddenly the focus isn't on the information he's uncovered anymore?

I honestly think that the only way you can prefer using a touchpad over a mouse is if your only other option is an Apple mouse. Don't get me wrong, the Mac touchpads are still ahead of everyone else. But touchpads in general are just hugely inefficient, slow and make certain actions such as dragging items across the

You can refuse to believe it all you want, but just like the Earth is round, it doesn't change the fact that although it does SEEM incomprehensibly stupid, it IS what is demonstrated in experiments. Note that it doesn't have to be a human that does the observation, as inanimate objects measuring can also "collapse"

Beautiful writing, well done! Was a pleasure to read.

New life rule: Only go drinking/on dates carrying or wearing things you'd be OK never seeing again.

The Developer Preview was not optimised for mouse and keyboard, and the tiles right now are for the most part meaningless place-holders. I'm sceptical as well, but let's just wait for the beta in a few weeks to pass on judgement :)

Most likely not. The left justification on the icons makes it easier to hit pinned icons by muscle memory, as they would remain exactly at the same place.

Rate of reproduction has a huge impact on the rate of evolution - it's the reason we are hit by different strains of the flu virus every year.

Putting Jamie Oliver aside, the rate of obesity in the US (and other developed countries) is going nowhere but up. Even worst, childhood obesity is going nowhere but up. When you consider the health risks associated with obesity, you're looking at a situation where children are having their lives considerably

While I understand some people's need for cases (especially on the iPhone 4/4S... Exposed tempered glass edge, what were they thinking...), I have to agree with the author.

Simple math: if a new product is leaked which causes consumers to stop purchasing the current product in anticipation, the loss in sales is more than the cost of paying someone to do pointless work for 9 months.

I see it as soon as I take off my glasses...

I actually had that same concern! Check the store's return policy, and wear it for a week or so to test. I haven't gotten any reactions to mine, but you may be more susceptible.

I recently got a Canada Goose jacket. Best. Winter Coat. Ever.

Sam, it would be amazing if you could get an interview with someone in the industry concerning this. The phenomenon of too many products gets even worse when you look at PCs (Acer and Asus, looking at you). I'd love to get some insights into the minds that decided this was a good idea.

Many people jailbreak to pirate apps.

I like the idea of jailbreaking, which makes sense in many situation and brings a level of control back to the consumer.

Loved K'Nex! Even more than I loved Legos. That said, my thumbs have much more painful memories of snapping those stupid tiny green pieces into place (almost as bad as the painful memories of stepping barefoot on stray Lego pieces)

Changing outdated, unconstitutional and human rights violating legislation so that they can better attract talent and make better products? That seems exactly what they should spend time and money on.

Am I the only one with an irrational fear of puppets? (I am aren't I)
