As America was founded as a secular country, it's unfortunate when religious views do seep into political discussions, even if they are based on erroneous biblical beliefs, such as concerning gay marriage.

Can't believe gay marriage is still not recognized on a national level in the US.

Am surprised at an individual price for textbooks. There's hardly any point (although you may want the supplement) of getting a different textbook from the one required for your class.

Haha, would never have thought of latin, but makes sense. Thanks!

I understand the need to throttle to prevent abuse. But 2.5Gb is a very low threshold!

Competition is a great thing!

Customers want immersion. They want realism. They want quality. Just like sound, picture quality and colour, 3D is just another step towards those goals. You can argue that the current technology is not capable of delivering on those points, but the same could have been said of those other features when they were

So is mine. Shhh lil' guy, it's ok. Don't look at the screen.

In actuality, the only thing the MP count can tell you is how large you can blow up the image before you start seeing individual pixels. I agree that apart from a marketing point, 16MP is overkill. That said, that shot up top is quite impressive. My HD7 is sad.

Two speakers! FINALLY. One of the most irritating features of the iPad.

I disagree. These build on a similar design philosophy of sleek, minimalist design with the use of high-end materials, but this is hardly Apple-only features, though it certainly seems like it in the tech industry.

Was not all that excited due to this pre-conceived opinion that Vizio would be akin to Dynex or other such low-end, cheap electronics manufacturers... But "bloat-free, optimized Windows 7"???

I challenge the statement that the NEX-3 series isn't pocketable! :)

The NEX-C3 is WAY smaller than a full DSLR. The body is seriously dwarfed by any lens you attach, and is much lighter.

Agreed. The HD acronym thrown around onto products that don't have anything to do with resolution is much more infuriating.

An interesting point, but kids are hugely influenced by what they see on TV (I know I was), and toy companies know exactly how to take advantage of that. A parent's job isn't to give their kids whatever they ask for, but to provide them with the best tools to have a good childhood and a good life. So yes. Sometimes,

Or you know, they calculated that even with the large capital investment, they can have a viable ROI on a 40-50 year basis (an estimated lifespan of the offshore facilities with normal maintenance).

There some fun research out there that proves those types of passwords are less secure. Because of their complexity and because they have to be changed so often, many frustrated employees just end up writing it on a post it and leaving it at their desks.

The point is, this is both easier to remember and much safer than a 4 digit pin that is commonly used on tablets and phones. The Building Windows 8 blog has a great blog post going through the security features of this method.

If I remember correctly, you have a strict time frame after filing a patent to bring the innovation to market. This is to prevent companies or individuals to prevent innovation by issuing patents for things that they have no intention of producing. I can't find exactly what that timeframe is, but I doubt that it is 11
