CSS is the tricky one for me... At least programming makes logical sense! (mostly)

We use specialised engineering software that, while it works fine under Windows 7, isn't officially supported on that platform. So, sadly, we purchase Win7 machines with 64bit multicore processors, with 8Gb or 16Gb of RAM and then install 32bit Windows XP (maddening!!)

You really don't have to go far back at all to find similar devices that predate the iPad but feature the same look. Take the HP Slate for example. It was supposed to run Win 7, which, crazy idea, but the device features the same general traits that the iPad has, and was shown off a month before the iPad was unveiled.

YES! I was just amazed at the Amsterdam locals, plowing their way on bikes through snow like it was nothing. Maybe it's the extra cold, or the non-bike-friendly roads, but no one here in Canada does this on the scale of the Netherlands!

My experience with circular buildings: no matter what, when you climb a set of stairs to get somewhere, you invariably choose the wrong direction and end up going a full circle. Which in this building, seems like a rather long walk.

At least it comes with a cool carboard box which, let's face it, is always way more fun than whatever was inside it.

To be fair, I haven't used a mac since the original iMac (rasberry colour!). However, my experience was many crashes, freezes and bugs. My experience with my iPad 2 has also been well nuanced with bugs and odd behaviours forcing a restart of the device.

I haven't tested this out with mkv, but many formats that the Xbox can't play natively seem to play fine when I use it as a Windows Media Extender (or something like that). There's a bit of lag in the menu, as I'm guessing it's streaming Windows Media Centre from the PC it's linked to, but it's worked great for me.

Things that "look" sound can fall down during an earthquake as easily as those with great architecture. What makes a difference is the engineering behind the building design, its construction, and the magnitude of the quake itself... Why sacrifice art and beauty for good engineering when you can easily have both?

I felt really bad for that girl who's clearly a third wheel... And by how ecstatic she is, I don't think she realises it.

This isn't a rumor. As far as I know, it was always the case that ARM powered devices would only support Metro apps and that interface. However, an x86 tablet should be able to switch seamlessly between desktop and Metro apps. This will be useful in devices such as the Transformer, where the tablet can also be docked

"bid us adieu", not "adeau"

I think the only digs they took at Apple's hardware is the fact that it looks the same as it did a year ago, and that it has a small screen. Can anyone really disagree with that?

It is a waste, there's no doubt about it. That said, there is a reason that the US houses the biggest aeronautical engineering firms in the world. These firms give jobs to thousands and thousands of workers in diverse industries, and part of their salaries are paid in taxes, or put towards products and services that

Most new HP printers allow you to print attachments that you send to your printer's email address. It actually works fairly well, though a straight print over wifi would be ideal.

I'm sorry... You want someone to put together a study to come up with a reason as to why certain people lack dedication, discipline and determination?

Sourcing from Wikipedia is a mistake, because it's not a source in itself. But since most statements in a given article have a source, Wikipedia is great as a kind of index of sources. You find your info there, follow the source link, decide whether it's a trust worthy source and you're good to go.

Worse than no answer: when the same person writes back something like "Hey guys, it's OK, I figured it out."

I was a 14 year skiier before trying snowboarding (was looking for something to challenge myself with). If you do decide to make the switch, get ready to fall. A lot. Your ass will hurt. Your legs will be sore. But if you're determined enough, you'll eventually get it, and trust me, it's amazing!

Beautiful, but honestly, I can't stand cards that aren't vertically mirrored. There should be no such thing as a card that is upside down!
