Right. Only certain votes count. Votes in about 35 out of 435 congressional districts count and votes in about 10 out of 50 states count.

More importantly, the people DIDN’T want Hillary. That’s the lesson. Half of Trump votes weren’t voting for Trump, they were voting against Hillary.

That lesson should’ve been ‘don’t run bad candidates.’ Instead it appears to be, ‘blame third parties for our failures to run good candidates.’

So the good news is we can stop with the every vote counts rhetoric?

In all honesty, I think it’s the primary system that screws everything. Hillary Clinton won by huge margins in southern states like Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, etc. But in battleground states (with the notable exception of Florida), Bernie was either competitive or won outright.
