Exactly. When the hell are they going to realize what they’re dealing with? Subpoenas aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on, contempt citations and censure are meaningless to authoritarians who don’t recognize the legitimacy of other branches of government.

Congress absolutely has the authority. They have the same authority as a judge to order criminal or civil penalties for people held in contempt of congress. They can be thrown in jail, fined, or forcibly dragged onto the House or Senate floor and held in chains to answer congresses questions.

Start with the authority that she does have, which is to hold these people in contempt of Congress, which is punishable by imprisonment or fine. The fact that they haven’t used this tool multiple times already is just making things worse.

Congress is going to have to start using inherent contempt and lock these motherfuckers up in the capital jail. Feed them the same barely edible slop that real prisoners have to eat and their pampered asses will roll on trump faster than the wheels on a Koenigsegg.

I think that Pelosi should start fining them. The courts may eventually reject the fines, but most of them are not rich enough to be unconcerned about having a huge financial sword of Damocles hanging over their heads for months or years.

Thats the laughable thing about this. Despite Trump blatantly showing everybody what a corrupt, self-centered moron he is about world affairs, and this shocking betrayal of our allies, Ms. Lindsey is still staunchly and actively supporting him against the impeachment inquiries.

I know people are tired of me saying it, but the man has an abysmal record with the natural disasters that he has faced, imagine if something substantial hit the continental states.

It goes beyond that. Turkey/Iran/Qatar, backed by Russia are in a red hot Cold War with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and many others right now. Trump just allowed Turkish troops to get 300 miles closer to the action. This move further destabilizes an unstable situation.

Sorry but Mitch isn’t gonna let any GOP senators vote for impeachment until all the judges get appointed.  That’s the goal - a judiciary so bent towards right wing insanity that it helps protect the legislators as the country moves further towards becoming a majority minority country.

There is no American public anymore, not when 30% of the population have walked away from the idea of American democracy to try to recolonize America into Wypipostan. America as we know it is over.

I've said this before, but the single most infuriating thing about this motherfucker is how goddamn lucky he's been. Every single fucking problem he's had to face he's created for himself. If he'd been president during the financial crisis we'd still be at war with the moon to this day.
