This would be the greatest argument for the XFL. A dumping ground to keep rich morons from running for office. Give them all their own team to run into the ground. Really, it’s for the greater good.

I salute your willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.
Doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s a tiny stadium. The schedule comes out in April, and every Steeler/Packer/Viking etc fan in the vicinity of Southern California thinks “hey, my team will be here in October, possibly for the first time in years, let’s got to the game”.
Well by that logic, Buffalo fucked up really really badly.
There’s a line at the end of “North Dallas Forty” where the main character tells his coach “We’re not the team. We’re the equipment”. Basically stating the truth that the actual product and players on the field doesn’t much matter as long as the bottom line is secure, and everything else is bullshit. I think about…
As a bills fan it would pain me to no end, but we should have taken the hit and made sure Trump bough us instead of the pegulas. The onfield product couldn't get worse, and the rest of the world is saved
I am not wrong here.
The Rams moving made sense. As up and down as their attendance can sometimes be, St. Louis failed to properly support two different NFL franchises, and the only reason the Rams ever moved there is the city bribed the widow of the Rams last broke dick LA owner. The Rams have work to do, but they’ll get there.
All those Steelers fans bought tickets. That is literally all Spanos cares about.
(fixed it for you)
Dan Snyder at his worst would be the ceiling for Trump at his best as an NFL owner. Remember, he killed an entire league in <3 years.
Honestly would that be worse if they somehow switched? With Trump as owner of the Chargers they would still be in San Diego. He would just stick his name on the stadium in tacky gold letters instead of Qualcomm and claim it was the best stadium despite all the evidence. Meanwhile we’d have a milquetoast George H W…
It’s simple. If you don’t give FailKids professional sports teams, then they run for office. Let them run teams into the ground; then that’ll keep them occupied and you don’t end up President Dean Spanos.
“pay to build us a new stadium or we’re moving to LA.”
I never understood the logic: Take a city that hasn’t cared about NFL football for about 20 years. Put a team there, wait a year, then put another team there. Why? Maybe if the Chargers were there alone their fans would follow and make some new ones, but once the Rams were there, the Chargers were not getting any…
Exactly. Like, she’s fine. She admitted to not being educated on the matter, educated herself, and, truly, who gives a shit? I don’t know a lot of things. I was a child during the Iraq War, watched it all unfold on the news, and even I still missed how truly awful things became in Iraq until years later. You had…
I really want to ask the average American in their 20s, 20 years ago, questions about Tony Blair. I’m willing to bet there’s a scary number of Americans who think the Queen runs the show over there.
Not even really her 20's, bush took office when she was 14 and left when she was 22.
In all seriousness:
So now we’re shitting on people for reaching the right conclusion but not being super aware of world events in their 20's. Just wanna be clear on this. That’s our new bar. You suck if you didn’t know about stuff in your 20's that you should have.
