Well, he is a Broadway star.
Well, he is a Broadway star.
Fair enough. Caramoan is possibly a sucky season buoyed by my irrational love of Cochran and the fact that I only remember the Malcolm-and-His-Magical-Assortment-of-Idols trilogy of episodes.
I liked Caramoan's group more too, but to be fair, there were quite a few duds in Caramoan as well. Let's remember that the finale pitted Cochran against the terrifying forces of Dawn, Sherri, Eddie, and invisible Erik.
I'd say Caramoan had more likable individuals, but SJDS had more balanced editing (we knew these…
Why, you ask?
Because they're CBS, and they can. That's why.
*spits for emphasis*
For what it's worth, early rumors from production say that Worlds Apart is the best season since HvV. Which sounds mind-blowingly awesome, especially since it's an all newbie cast. (The only thing I could compare it to would be Pearl Islands, then?)
How have I never seen this before now? This is awesome. Good work, cabspaintedyellow!
I'm gonna put this in Survivor: Caramoan territory. Really underwhelming premerge with a surprisingly great postmerge game, capped off with a deserving and satisfying (if in retrospect somewhat predictable) winner.
It was funny, because the Final Tribal Council was really lame up until that point (did Jaclyn seriously get asked the same question TWICE??), but that speech is all anyone's going to remember. As well they should.
"Each time she made one of these moves, the conservative game player in me cringed, all while recognizing she was singlehandedly making the end of this season watchable."
“Missy, you like to cast yourself in the motherly role. However, fans of classic literary fiction will see through very quickly to who your true character was, which is the wicked stepmother, really, of the tribe. It’s the eccentric woman who comes in and makes demands of the things to which she feels so entitled. She…
Let's all just take a moment to stop and admire how nonsensically circular "It's okay to dream as big as you can dream" is.
If Aaron Rodgers is playing the Jets, he's still Aaron Rodgers.
Not that's Natalie's the Aaron Rodgers of Survivor (I'm thinking that'd be Kim?), but one's skill is not dependent on the opponents.
She was the one who thought gay guys were basically girls.
As a Christian, Jesus in Redemption Island (with Matt) was cool and a good representation of faith.
Jesus in South Pacific (with Coach and his cult) was just creepy and weird.
It really depends on the players in question. This season was better without bringing Jesus into it.
I think it's called Walterwhitis.
"A guy like Watt is the closest we're going to get to a non-QB MVP"
Kelly can relate.
I approve.
A Tom Cruise action/sci-fi movie that's like Groundhog Day set in a video game.
I imagine the closest thing we'll ever see to a Christopher Nolan comedy is season 4 of Arrested Development.
